One of the longest I’ve seen!

I have a SXP order from November 19 also. Last time I inquired I was 12th on the list at Muncie. With an allocation of 1 or 2 per month I could easily be waiting another 6 months. I must be crazy.

just wondering since Muncie owes me the Black Friday promo from 2019 if my car shows in November of 2020 do I get the 2020 Black Friday gift too? LOL

You ordered from Muncie in Nov 2019 and you don’t have a car yet? Yikes! Did they tell you back then it was going to be a long time?

I’m in RHODE ISLAND which dealer for telluride And yes I’m comparing palisade and telluride and I’m not sure which I will buy as of yet! When dealers tell the consumer 4-6 wks is a lot different than your 3-5 months. Also they are given #47 which ment nothing. Is that honesty? Imagine the person who bought cars in the past from his dealer he dealt with for 8 yrs they tried to charge 10 k over! This is terrible business practices. The consumer is being miss guided

I just called today and my original 2020 Black Copper w/ Dune SXP w/ Tow got bumped from 8/17 to 9/12.

Was told Kia Rep came to each local dealer to go over orders, etc... was told this was the last push for customers who originally ordered 2020 MY.

@akdoh Did u get any update on eta? They told me today mine switched back to 9/02 but didn’t get a snapshot so im not sure! I know yours was like mine 9/12

No they never call me with any updates - I have to call them 100% of them time

Not OP, but I have an order with Muncie, from October of 2019 and have an ETA of mid-September. They were very upfront about the potential that it could take quite some time. Quoted around 6 months, but obviously didn't know that the plant was going to be shut down for COVID. In the end, I am very happy to be working with them because I don't have an immediate need for the car, I know they are honest, and I know I am getting the best price in the country.

Quoted around 6 months, but obviously didn't know that the plant was going to be shut down for COVID. In the end, I am very happy to be working with them because I don't have an immediate need for the car, I know they are honest, and I know I am getting the best price in the country.

You are far more patient than I would be. I was quoted 3-6 month by my dealer in Feb. as of right now I have an Oct eta which puts me at 8 months. I figure COVID19 was a solid 2 month delay across the board (so far) so they were pretty accurate. You are going to be 11 months!

All that said you will have dealt with less shenanigans than most of us and you will get the car you want. In the end a few months doesn’t mean much but wow! I thought all the 2019 orders had been filled.

Hello all. Does anyone have inside baseball knowledge for ordering the SX FWD? My dealer says he's unable to place the order. "System" won't let him. I see they are not coming off the production line in large numbers, but wondering if that might change?

Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.

Dealer called me yesterday and told me my car would be here on Aug 8th, except it didn’t have the interior i ordered and it wasn’t a Prestige, and it had a nightfall package (so clearly not my order). Does this mean the dealer didn’t actually order my identical order and they’re just trying to fill orders based on what Kia gives them? I never got an order number and I have no ETA after a 7 month wait. I’m feeling extremely frustrated but holding on to this dealer because they are charging MSRP. Getting information from them has been an absolute nightmare. Should i continue to wait with this dealer or should i switch to another dealer who told me 3-4 month wait and also charging MSRP?

You answered your own question in stating that they never ordered a vehicle specifically for you. Seems like there are a lot of SX's landing every day. Change one of those and you might get lucky. It's really a crap shot somewhat.

I can help. We only have 2-4 people ahead for SX trim level. Just gotta pay for shopping or fly up and drive home.

Basically you can take what the dealer offers or look else where. Please name the dealership so future forum members can avoid them like you should be doing.
