Order to delivery time

Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.

we picked our 2021 white prestige SX up on Tuesday which we signed up for-at begin of July, not custom ordered but just got lucky My wife called in. We looked at our dealers listing and they are getting in about 1/2 a month in Georgia, and all Sx models were already spoken for through Oct, pretty ridiculous. Have no clue how they are dealing with custom orders
The salesman did say however that someone that ordered in March were picking up same day as us. Might be helpful from a timing perspective.

So yeah, you replied to a post from 2019. OPs car eventually showed up last year.

I've been holding off checking because I didn't want to be disappointed but... Luther Kia of Bloomington MN has only ordered 17 cars in the past month. I've emailed them to find out what number we are on the list but I'm not getting my hopes up. We procrastinated and didn't order one until 3/11 so I'm thinking maybe.... January? If we're lucky?

I somehow was under the delusion they were allocated more cars than that every month. More time to save my pennies for mo' money down.

If your ETA is still Sept 12, your car won’t show up on there for another couple weeks—so stop torturing yourself!

Monday they said it’s showing Sept 2nd but I didn’t get any snapshot of eta. I know etas keep jumping around until vin is created.

You get an ETA right when your order goes in KFOS the ETA might jump back and forth until your VIN is created. After that ETA should be accurate to a certain point. Im not sure how long would it be to get a VIN after the order goes through KFOS, I would say anywhere between a month and 3. Dealers here can give you a more accurate answer.

hahaha The dealer said that this wasn't my order but my order is "around the corner, ETA of 8-16."

Sounds like the dealer was trying to pull a fast one on you.. when did you place your order? I ordered through Ed Voyles as well but haven’t even gotten an order number let alone an ETA...

I was told the same. No ETA yet, but order was officially placed. In guessing at October but who knows??? We're in the same boat.

That doesn’t sound right! The whole point of orders going through is having an order number so you can track it! As for the deposit, dealers usually take it right when you place an order.

Exactly... dealing with this has been pretty frustrating. Honestly, sometimes I feel like giving up and just buying something else..

Ok I actually might be mistaken. But when orders are entered to kfos it shouldnt take too long to get an eta and order number! I’ll say a week(per previous conversation with dealers on this thread)
