What dealership are you dealing with? Sounds like you getting a allocated order correct? If so your dealer should have given you a eta.
However the wait for a custom "order" is not long in terms of human life span years.

Thanks! Yep, the initial ETA is 16-20 weeks. Not sure how accurate that is, but the dealer I went with seems to handle a pretty high volume of Tellurides, so hopefully that's what they're actually seeing and not just guess *fingers crossed* .

I went back and forth with Fred Anderson Kia in Raleigh and Hendricks Kia in Cary, NC. Ultimately, I went with Hendricks. For me, their online sales customer service was much better and more responsive. It is an allocated order, the initial ETA is 16-20 weeks. Based on the data on the failcat site I've seen mentioned in other threads, Hendricks handles a pretty high volume of Tellurides, so hopefully that ETA is based on what they're seeing and not just a guess. But you're right, I keep having to tell myself that the wait isn't that bad based on how long I plan on having this car .

I believe they are the highest volume telluride dealer in NC yea. If production keeps its current pace that eta should shrink for ya. Failcat is a great tool, accurate it is not but imo its not meant to be an accurate guide for deliveries. For better or worse when my VIN was created it arrived 6 days after it popped up in failcat! Thats rare from other's experiences here. Dealer called me with the VIN the day before it showed up in failcat. Their latest ETA based off of that VIN was two weeks longer than the actual delivery date.
My experience with finance there was interesting to say the least. Be prepared for the games and in my case straight up thievery and be well informed on the moving parts of a vehicle purchase, you'll be alright. I hope your experience will be different than mine but like they say, they do "sell at msrp!"

Thanks! That's all awesome info! So, does that mean you also went through Hendricks? If so, I wouldn't mind hearing more about your experience, if you're comfortable sharing (no worries if you're not).

P.S. Saw the pics of your new Telly in the order time thread. It looks sweet! I liked the Dark Moss most on the website, but saw one in person for the first time the other day and it is a bit more brown than I had hoped. I hadn't thought of white before, but I saw one parked in the back of Hendricks when I drove through the lot that looked great and it almost made me switch colors. If you did go through Hendricks, it may have been yours based on the timing! Either way, it's one good looking car. Congrats!

I also placed an order with Hendrick Kia in Cary. I ordered a Wolf Gray SXP from Ryen. So far he seems pretty good, I can tell I definitely know more about the ordering process then he does. I hope when it comes in they don't try and funny business with it.

Ryen was good. He was telling me about you yesterday calling him after placing your order. Lol He should call you when they enter it into kfos and get that first eta. I was asking when they were expecting their first wolf gray.

Yeh, I tend to be quite annoying and not patient with stuff haha. I called him to actually make sure it was an order and not just a "waitlist".
