  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Greetings everyone... My wife and I splurged this past April and snatched up a 2020 fully loaded moss green Telluride. Claire, our nickname for her, has more than what we were looking for but we'd been looking and waiting for over 3-months so we jumped.

We love her... just my wife and I took a 4,000 mile vacation, sleeping in her two nights, and learned every feature. We got the front windows tinted and I made a garbage can holder that fits right behind the center console. We've used Claire to tow a trailer to pick up building supplies...

The only negatives... Wipers. Kia removed intermittent settings and replaced it with auto but it does not do well in light rain... The high setting is to slow.

Towing and 7-pin harness... Why rate a vehicle's towing capacity at 5,000 but, in small print, not that to do so, the trailer must have electronic brakes. That requires a 7-pin harness... Which Kia does not include in their towing package and adding one could void the warranty.

Biggest negative... REMOTE START. While it is really "nice" to have a smart phone app and being able to schedule auto start. But the fact I only get a year of that service before having to pay a ton of money to keep that feature... That is insane. To add to that, I can't use it where I live due to poor cell service and when it does have a signal, it is slow. Auto start MUST be on the remote.

Welcome to the dark moss club. 👍

Plug and play remote start using the OEM fob is available to purchase and install. Several members have already done to theirs and are happy with it so far.

Remote start (look for the 10% discount code bogie posted in an earlier post)

Still waiting for somebody to report back with the takeover version though.

I've been lurking for a while and the remote start discussion is why I joined today. And... I bought the take over version. I'm really handy so I'm not worried but I'll report back, once it gets here.

Congrats on your new baby girl, Claire!!!! And welcome to the forum. I know it’s water under the bridge, but the 2021 addresses two of the negatives. The tow package comes with the 7 pin harness and the key fob is now a remote start key fob. Nevertheless, it sounds like an incredible ride👍👍
