Almost 11 months wait (ordered 12/10/19).

I wanted to say congrats!
But I felt pretty bad given that my order is taking 5-6 weeks start to finish, knock on wood.

Thanks disweds12. Yes the wait will make it that much sweeter! I was about ready to give up during the shutdown, but have a paid off CR-V cruising at 215k miles and realized there's no reason not to just wait it out, save money, and put that much more cash towards the deal! And Lucas at Muncie has kept me informed of how close I was.

Correct,

One option for trim, one option for interior color (black leather, no Nappa) with I think 4 options for exterior color (Sangria not an option, I know that).

We don; get much of a choice, but luckily for me it was exactly what i wanted (I don't care about Nappa, and I wanted SX-Limited (Premium in USA) for captains chairs and HUD, etc.

I had the full package Paint Protection Film installed on my Black Copper SX-P with dune. I could not see it but the owner showed me how to feel it on the edges where it was installed. The owner explained they are using a heavier film now. I had my Mercedes done last year and I can see that film on the edges. He thinks the black copper is sharp but he wanted to know what the color was under the lights when he was working on it. I told him root beer.

The package I got was $1995. I have seen similar costs for this on this forum. I got full hood, full front to include head and fog lights. They removed the hood letters and reinstalled after applying the film. I got the mirrors and pillars done as well. they have other packages but more expensive than I wanted to pay.

Thanks for update. I live in Eastern NC and don't even know where I'd go to get this done. I think I'll have to look in Raleigh area; only 60 miles away.

I live near Richmond Va and Capital Autobahn is the only installer in this area that I know of. I believe it is a worth while purchase for those planning on keeping their cars.

I am getting a similar package (not full vehicle), except getting a Ceramic coat also.

Consists of:

• Full hood
• Full fenders
• Mirrors
• Full front bumper
• Roofline & A-Pillars
• Headlights and Fog Lights
• Rocker panels
• Edges wrapped & tucked

Brand & Subtype:

• 3M Scotchgard Pro Series PPF – Generation 5.0

Plus the Ceramic Coating.

They have a deal on right now, $500 off the package (so $1900 Cdn total), so was a bonus when I saw that. (Location is Canada). Very highly rated company, with personal friends having it done. I will be paying extra $50 for the door pockets as well.

They told me they need to keep it for 2-3 days to cure, which will suck considering I will be dropping it off the day I pick it up, but I know will be done right.

Picked this up yesterday 2021 Black Copper SX Prestige. I didn’t wait for it was called and told a deal didn’t go through and it was mine if I wanted it MSRP + sales tax lucky boy I tell you! It’s an eye catcher that’s for sure. Also had a ceramic coat applied this morning.

Yes big Chemical Guys fans have the Hydroslick Ceramic from them have put on several of our vehicles and it’s amazing. You can’t mess anything up with Chemical Guys.

I agree with Chemical Guys, although there seems to be many people out there who definitely appear to know more about detailing cars than I do, that hate on them all day long. I think they can be pricey but I never buy anything from them without some kind of promo code and they offer them all the time to make it a little easier to stomach. I’ve toyed with the idea of the hydroslick but didn’t trust myself with it!
