If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Kia dealers marking up their Tellurides over MSRP is very frustrating. The good news is we can make them suffer the consequences of taking advantage of Telluride buyers, but it will take a lot of us to pull it off. I encourage you, even if you have already purchased your Telluride, to help in this effort. Simply give them one-star votes and paste the following into a Google review of any dealer you know who is selling above MSRP. If enough negative comments are posted, their Google rankings will drop. This, in turn, will lead to less virtual and foot traffic which ultimately reduces their non-Telluride sales. Once they feel this pain, they might just change.

Telluride Buyers Beware: This dealer is currently marking up their Tellurides OVER MSRP. There are other Kia dealers you can buy from who DO NOT markup their Tellurides over MSRP. Unless you just love wasting money, you can find a Kia dealer who will not take advantage of you here: Kia Telluride Forum

Interesting plan, I'm about to start calling the dealerships in the area to see who will give me MSRP with no markup on an order. Other than that I don't see much that a dealer is going to do to be "competitive" but I'll still be asking to see who can do anything / the most for me.

I mean, like it or not they can charge what they are if people are paying. I am just making mental notes on which dealers to not ever do business with.

Why would you complain about dealers charging over MSRP? This is common practice for vehicles in high demand. Those who are willing to pay the most get the vehicle first by paying more.
I supposed dealers should be “offended” when customers ask to pay less than MSRP?
Childish.

IMO, it's more effective to give *positive* reviews and comments to those dealers who are good to deal with than negative reviews to those who markup.

Seriously this over MSRP pricing chatter is like a scratched record, it’s supply and demand and if you don’t want to pay more move on. No matter how many people you get to go on this crusade there will be ten more waiting to pay that extra cash, let people spend their money how they want

Why try to ruin them over one model? They could be heavily discounting all of their other vehicles. As others said, supply and demand.

Also assuming everyone that walks into a dealer has done their research online.

Did you get this idea from Wastebook? We're not as simple around here. Please, troll away somewhere else. Enjoy wasting your time on Google Reviews... I've got better things to do... like driving my Telluride! Now, please move along.

Dealer by me has a 10k markup on even the lx. what a joke

As long as there's somebody out there willing to pay markup, there will be dealers asking it. I think it's a cash grab that will probably cost them future customers and hurts the Kia brand but it's a risk they seem willing to take. No one is forced to buy one or pay over MSRP.

A lot of placed employ companies to manage reviews online and fight reviews that they claim aren't credible. The type of review that you speak of may get pulled quite easily.

A fool and their money soon parted.

Why would I complain? Childish? Capitalism works both ways and I am just attempting to balance out the scales.

Side note: this issue is just another example of why dealers will no longer exist in a couple of decades. Musk’s disruption of the industry will force the manufacturer’s hand to cut out dealers.
