• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Looks good! Any rub?
Nope. Seems like rub will happen with 265/65/18, the 265/60/18 clears without a problem.

Thanks for the pics and the wheel / tire specs, that is really helpful. We are thinking about getting the lift. Do you know if it still fits in a standard home garage?

I don't garage it and my garage was built in 1910, not to today's standards. I'll measure the ground to hitch increase and get back to you.

That would be awesome, thank you!

I saw a greater increase in the rear. Hitch to ground increased about 3¼ inches. Adding that to the overall height should help you estimate if it will fit in your garage.

Thanks, sounds like I might be cutting it close so I will measure first

How much did you all pay to have your truxxx lift kit installed? I am getting quoted from $400 - $600. Did you install it yourself? If so how would you rate the difficulty? I have done basic auto work before, but I am no mechanic and I know I would need an alignment afterwards.

My estimate attached... I’m going to have mine installed this weekend

I had my local mechanic shop install it. Took a full 4 hours to do. I think their hourly rate was in the $80-$90 rate then took it for an alignment which was $50. So, basically $450. I'm kinda in the way out burbs/country from Atlanta so most work stuff can be cheap if you ask around.

I haven't purchased the lift yet (waiting for when we need tires), but when I do I'm planning to do the install myself then take it for an alignment.

Even though I have a Palisade, hopefully I'm still welcome here ;-)
I did the Truxx lift in my garage with a jack and jack stands. I do a good amount of my own mechanical work and I would say I am pretty handy. I would rate it as moderately difficult. The hardest part was the poor instructions. I did the loosening of the sway bar mounts as the instructions state is so important but did not notice that the bushings rotated at all when it was lowered and they were retightened. Using the included offset tabs for the front sway bar (tabs UP), I'm not sure that step is really even necessary. If I hadn't had to mess with figuring that step out, it probably would have taken me about 3 or 4 hours total.
Wheels ordered through discount tire finally came in today and I got TPMS sensors on Amazon for $30 each, now just trying to decide what tires will fit. That's why I'm here! I guess I just have to decide if it's worth rubbing a little bit with the 265/65 r18s or go a little smaller with the 60 series. I think bigger tires usually look better, though.

Looks good man.. I have an EX Telluride that came with the 18” wheels.. I had the Truxxx kit installed by a shop, and then went with a 20” wheel and 255/55/r20 Toyo Open Country AT3 tire.. Diameter of wheels and tires is 31”. I love it.. it’s tight, but no rub.. anything bigger and it would’ve rubbed.. adding the side steps and crossbars tomorrow..

I want this done to my SX. The 2" kit is $285.50 right now, but I would love some extra height!
