Non Nightfall SX Prestige Waiting Room

As it has become evident that KIA is prioritizing Nightfall Prestige orders over the non Nightfall Prestige Orders - I am curious who else has a non Nightfall Prestige on order from before the Nightfall Edition was announced. If you do - please post your order date, KFOS acceptance date (if you have one) and current ETA.

Yesterday we had another run of Prestige trims with the Nightfall package - but none for the non Nightfall package. We know it isn't a parts issue as the only difference is the SX trim and KIA continues to build SX trims - so there is no logistical reason to stop building non Nightfall Prestige models. Curious to see how many other people are in the same situation as my family.

Similar situation:
1st order SWP P/T AWD Feb 20 $500 refundable deposit
Order cancelled May 20
Order supposedly reentered in July when KFOS opened and color apparently changed at that time to GWP
No ETA
Not much information from dealership its like pulling teeth for any communication
Nightfall PKG = $1300 more for dealers/KIA so an 'easy' add on without selling snake oil so it makes sense it is getting priority

Can we really assume it isn't a parts issue??????? Maybe, but Nightfall has different grill, wheels, chrome trim, badges.......... You don't like the NE for some of these very reasons. According to your graph, there were no NEs produced between 7/17 and 7/28. I wonder why???? Maybe it's a batching thing much like the period of 2 weeks when no vehicles with the towing option were being produced...................yet now towing is produced on a daily basis. My wait from KFOS acceptance to delivery was 5 months (March - August). It looks like yours might be less than 3 months. I admit, I was lucky to find a dealer that at the time I placed my order did not have a list of people in front of me.

The reason I can confidently say it isn't a parts issue is that they are still building prestige trims and SX trims. Both the NEP and SXP have the same interior and the SXP and SXP have the same exterior. Therefore - they have all the parts coming in to build SXP - they are just prioritizing newer NEP over older SXP orders.

We put a deposit down the end of February. The order was pulled 7/22 for a white exp with brown interior. Dealership says it should be here sometime in October.

West Broad Kia, VA, actually ETA is keep on jumping, thats why I stopped asking dealer.. its frustrating checking with him every time, let him call once it's delivered at dealership.

Its really disappointing seeing the non Nightfall production numbers seemingly stopped for all of us that have been waiting for many months when those opting for the more expensive NE option getting a car in a month or less. I do not need the Telluride right away because I have dependable transportation and I am not driving much right now but it has me rethinking if I want to continue playing this waiting game BS that KIA is dishing out while they produce their cash cow version and ignore the rest. I have ordered many cars in my lifetime and this is total disregard of customer standing orders. I wonder how many deposit dollars the dealers are sitting on for months and months at a time. Seriously considering moving on from this madness. There are a lot of great SUVs out there right now sitting on lots with huge markdowns right now and great financing offers. Just saying.
