• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2020 update 1 Available

seems like mac is the deal. I finally got it on my other computer installed but can't sign in. Says no response from server!! Waited so long for the darn car now a simple installation is also a hustle

Sounds like the $25 option for purchase is in your future... :)

Seriously though it sounds like a network issue or config issue on your end. Perhaps your internet provider is blocking that link?

Interesting. I'm going to look into my firewall and see though nothing show it's being blocked. I have ATT fiber 300 doubt they block anything

Yeah, I have ATT fiber also and I'm downloading it right now - no issues. And windows downloader. Sometimes the issue is with their standard routers... maybe try plugging directly into the back of the modem.

So I was able to download and install on another computer but issue was logging in. I just tried guest log in and it went through. Should I see 2021 telly there or only 2020?

Read through the thread and did not see it, or missed it.

I have the HD Radio wather on my vehicle (13.5). If I update to the new version with the Foreca weather over UVO data connection. When I don't pay for UVO at the end of the free trial, will I have no weather, or will it switch to using HD Radio if I am in an area with coverage. Is there an option to choose HD Weather vs. Foreca/UVO Data connection source?

Thanks!

if you are having issues dowloading the update like I was, i have uploaded it and post the link in this forum

Confirmed Foreca will not work without paid subscription. Likely the same for traffic alerts.
Yes. However, I can't vouch for traffic. But, the new weather functionality would not activate prior to renewing my subscription.

Looks like I’ll be sticking with what I have!

Thanks for the update.

I’m sure the dealer will kindly upgrade my software when I bring it in for service...

I just saw 2020 because that's what I have. I thought it was tied to my vehicle. But, I would guess it works on both.

I used the 2020 file on my 2021 Telluride and it worked fine.

All done and everything went well. Thanks mates!!

Did anyone notice Drive Info is gone? I liked that widget... showing my idle time and acceleration numbers and such.

Yep, that went away with the 14.0 update earlier this year. I did enjoy looking at it now and again. I wish they hadn’t removed it, but I guess I’m willing to accept it to get the ability to have split screen for CarPlay/Android Auto.

So Foreca won’t work without a UVO subscription (which makes sense). But just to be clear, if you have an expired UVO subscription this latest update won’t fallback to HD radio weather (which the car is capable of)?

Basically, is upgrading to 14.5 going to kill weather entirely unless we pay for UVO?

It’s a subtle distinction, but all the talk I’ve seen to date just says Foreca won’t work without paying (which makes sense) but doesn’t confirm if the update completely removes the old HD radio weather capability and leaves non-UVO users with one less feature than when they bought the car.

Has anyone tested this specific scenario?

I recently updated software and my UVO subscription expired months ago (2019 April purchase). However, I was pleasantly surprised the weather was working (it never worked before) and it now says Foreca. So perhaps weather is a free feature and don't require a paid UVO subscription?

Thanks for the data point! I hope that’s the case for me. I wasn’t looking forward to trying to talk the dealer out of updating it every time I have to have something else done.

I just did a 2020 map and software update on my telluride. took a while and was a large file but was free :)

Added the split-screen option for car play (I prefer the full one). Some icon changes (camera angle icons for example). Changed weather graphics (I prefer the older ones). It erased all my radio presets and also put them in numerical order (if anyone knows how to rearrange them please let me know!!).

Quick update worked fine for me. Kept car in accessory position with battery tender connected. Took about 45 min-ish. Split screen on CP was enabled by default, had to dig to find setting to turn it off which required the phone to be unplugged!. Temp on weather was iin Celsius, and I could not find an option to change to Fahrenheit. I gave up and when I went to turn off the car which requires a push of Start button to turn car on, unit changed to Fahrenheit automatically!

How did you tender your battery while doing this update? Did you have a battery maintainer connected while you kept it in accessory mode? I would love to do this update without idling for 40ish minutes...

-Update- I updated the software. Turned it on accessory mode after connecting my battery charger/maintainer. It took about 25ish minutes with my 256GB USB 3.1 drive. It went through 5 stages (pages) of updates including maps, modem, gps and a few others. It works great!

I just updated my 2020 as well. Took me several tries. Don't know what I was doing wrong, but it worked this time. My UVO expired in July. Can confirm that I now have Foreca weather, whereas I never had weather before because of no HD radios stations in my area.
