• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello all - we have an SXP with dune brown, so the cargo area is black plastic. Has anyone else found that this scratches incredibly easy, and / or know of a good way to “restore” it?

I suggest Adam's polishes products or the equivalent.

Yes, the inside is my liftgate is pretty much destroyed. I figured it would happen transporting strollers and wagons around though. The other cargo areas, not the liftgate, have not been scratched yet. Unless it’s because it is a different quality plastic from the liftgate.

Despite my efforts to avoid- same situation.

I think this is a “live with it” scenario. The vehicle is made to be used and the plastic in backis going to take some scratches as things slide around.

Wonder if anybody anybody every lined their cargo area with protective film. That would prevent scratching and fill in small scratches probably.

I disagree. Groceries and such shouldn’t cause so much damage so easily.

What kind of groceries are we talking about? No way cardbord containers or plastic bags would do anything.

Metal containers or reusable shopping bags with zippers maybe. Or hard plastics.

I’m not having grocery issues for the most part. Seems to be cardboard from various purchases that are a little larger in size. Something like the boxes you might get if you bought a small table at IKEA.
