Lev Kia is killin' it!

So, I know there have been whole threads about good dealer dealings across the country and also specific to Massachusetts. I just want to put this out there for everyone...

I ordered from Ken Russian at Lev Kia on 8/14 -- an SX-P/T/N -- after having an MSRP vs markup bait and switch at another dealer. Ken told me I was looking at approx 14-16 wks before it'd arrive. I'd been waiting since March already for the other Telluride at the other dealer, but okay. I knew this time I'd be working with a tried and true fair dealer.

Fast forward a month. A MONTH...and Ken told me my Telluride will be here on Oct 9th!! They have been getting lots more allocation units apparently so if you're in New England, I highly recommend working with Ken Russian and Lev Kia (tell him Jen Fowler sent you!!). Don't get scared of the wait times if you go with them or another quality, high-producing dealer.

Nice, getting the same exact vehicle, crazy how there are only 8 of them in all of failcat. Sounds like you will get yours right before me, I want pictures!

I noticed there were very,very few on failcat. I got my VIN from my dealer and while I can pull up the sticker, it's definitely not on failcat.

I will definitely post pictures when I get her. One month and counting!

Congrats!! I texted with Ken yesterday and I am still waiting. I asked if there was a chance I get in to KFOS this month and he was not sure and said he won't know until it happens. A little frustrating for sure. Another win for those of you that chose to pivot to Nightfall.

He has been great to work with. I got a call earlier this week saying mine had arrived. I got excited, but because I have followed how things work on this forum, I had some doubts it was actually mine as it was waaaay too early. Turns out it wasn't mine. Just an honest mistake. He did say mine should be in the September KFOS allocation. Mine is an EX AWD which, based on the stats, seems to be twice the allocation amount of SX over the last 60 days at Lev. I guess I will see in a week or two. I'm not counting my chickens quite yet!

Ken mentioned they are earning a lot more allotments. Hopefully that means you'll end up getting yours much sooner. I also noticed in Failcat that very few from Sep were showing up for Lev Kia so for whatever reason, it looks like Failcat is missing a lot. Fingers crossed you get yours soon!

I noticed the same with failcat and Lev. Time will tell! Can't wait to hear the good news when you get yours and see pictures.

I have not heart anything yet but her post is encouraging. I was told it could be up to 18-22 weeks.

My order was on 6/10 from Lev and a similar ETA provided of 20-22 weeks. Much of the wait time depends on how deep you are the list for the version you ordered. For me, I am waiting on an AWD SX-P with Tow. What trim did you order?

I ordered an “S” trim. Nothing added.
From all I have ready Ken is great and a straight shooter. He has been real nice to work with so far for sure

I was originally quoted about 22 weeks from my 8/14 order date. I imagine the only reason mine came up with a VIN in just under a month and with a dealer arrival ETA of just under 2 months from the order date has everything to do with the Nightfall package. It seems like Kia is cranking those out.

I would suggest you contact Ken or whomever your salesperson is for an update. I reached out to see if and how much my ETA may have moved up since another Telluride I had a deposit on had come in but the dealer added a markup. I got lucky. Really lucky.

I was also concerned it wasn't my Telluride because it has the carpeted floor mats (didn't order) and doesn't have the illuminated scuff plates that I ordered. It does have the mud guards, though. Ken assured me it's mine. So...

I hope both of yours come in much sooner than expected!

You deserve a good experience, @jenfowler78! Glad to hear it’s going well so far at Lev. I may end up going with them vs. Muncie if it ends up being a low pressure experience all around (keep us posted; I feel like there have been one or two oddball posts about Ken/Lev on here)

It hasn't been that long, to be honest...
I went back and forth on whether I was going to take the original one from Route 6 so I didn't request the refund back in August. I wasn't going to pay a $2k markup but I did get them to come down a whole $500. I got the call last Thursday that it came in and I was planning on going after work to inspect it and make my final decision based on if I could get them down any more. I texted Lev Kia that same day and got lucky.

So, it wasn't until Friday that I asked for the refund. I am expecting it to actually happen sometime today.

He said they were all commenting on how quickly it came in and they'd never had a Prestige package order come in, in under 6 weeks! Apparently, I hold the record. He asked if I knew someone at Kia. Lol.

The next few days are going to be torture! The first appointment they had available for pickup was Monday at 10am so that's when I'll be getting her.

Try to see if they’ll agree to not letting anybody test drive or sit in it between now and then. I’m sure you’ve read of some dealers doing that on this forum.

Also eager to hear about the financing process.
If all goes well, I’ll likely be ordering from them soon.

Good idea. I didn't even think of that but I will definitely text them tomorrow to make sure they don't allow test drives in it.

I'm keeping my fingers cross on the remaining processes. I have my appt. They asked if I would be leasing or financing (I'm leasing for the first time in my life) and they are putting together 2 different lease mileage figures for me, and I filled out their credit check forms today. I should be receiving the details on the lease figures tomorrow sometime and then hopefully the rest goes very smoothly and quickly. I'll definitely keep this thread updated.

Awesome, congratulations!! If you have a reputable dealer they’ll have her hidden in the back.
