• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have three small kids and we sit two of them in the third row of our S model. They love listening to children’s stories, but we have to really crank up the volume so they can hear all the way in the third row as there are no speakers back there. Does anyone know if it’s possible to add factory speakers to the third row in the S? Or has anyone had success with after market speakers?
It almost makes me wish we bought the SX.

Have you tried going into the speaker settings first and shifting the fade settings to the rear speakers? Can also lower bass and raise mid/treble for more clarity for spoken word audio.

We’ve definitely pushed it to the back, but that only puts it in the middle row, and to be honest my children claim they can’t hear as well when it’s only in the second row, but they’re all under five years old so you can’t really trust them.
I’ll fiddle with the base. That’s a good idea. It’s just those longer road trips that I’d love to have a conversation with my wife instead of listening to a bunch of children’s stories.

We had the exact same issue with my 3.5 year pushed all the way to the back.

Popped in a cheap round wireless bluetooth speaker in the cup holder at the 3rd row and connected it to the usb port for power. He's all set and has not complained since!

The spots are there. Theoretically you could tap into the rear door speakers behind the large sail panel and wire from there. Problem is you will have ohm issues unless you dont use the rear door speakers. Driver side is yellow and blue, passenger side is orange and green. The wires are slightly larger than the others in the harness. You could wire in series with the back doors but output will likely drop a lot.

I know it's been awhile so not sure you'll see this, but are you stating that you were able to connect a bluetooth speaker to the car audio? I just tried to connect a bluetooth speaker to my Telluride and could not figure out a way to do so. I can connect the speaker to my phone without issue, but I was hoping for a way to play the same music as the rest of the car speakers. I'm thinking that may not be possible.

The Bluetooth speaker was connected to the phone, not the car's audio system.

I was not able to connect it to the car system. Just to my phone. It’s a bit of a pain because you need to pair your phone every time you get back in the car, but on the other hand you can listen to whatever you want up front and put kids stuff on in the back.
