Non Nightfall SX Prestige Waiting Room

Cool. Considering they are the same interior and exterior color - I bet they roll down the line together in the same batch!!

What is up with the huge difference in delivery dates? Yours is going to Texas, is the other one going to Australia?

Probably get a generic answer from the chief of complaint responses, Mr. Oh-Screw U!
Actually happy to report I just spoke to the senior regional manager for my region, who reported "Kia has heard you loud and clear." He said my letter made the impact I intended. He said I have "everyone at Kia corporate scrambling" to make this right. He said he couldn't disagree with anything I said in my letter. He said they do have an employee that monitors the forum threads but he was not aware so many were waiting this long for a vehicle. I even pointed out a guy gave up his ordered Telly today because he bought an X5 last week. So Kia should not expect us to continue to sit and wait around, while those that are just ordering NF editions are getting their cars first. He told me I will get a call back from him tomorrow with a response from Kia Corporate and hopefully a car that matches my exact order asap. I also pointed out that our calls to Corporate HQ have been ignored. He said, well we hear you now! This might be a good time for any of you to call Kia Corporate in Irvine, CA and made your voices heard too. I think this forum has more power than we thought!

Good question. Not sure why it would be so much longer to go to PA (suburbs of Philly).

Yeah, mine has been in transit at least from 9/21, not sure of the specific date and it's going to Colorado with an ETA of 10/06. Not sure why it would take like two weeks longer to go to Colorado instead of Texas. This whole process has been interesting.

That's great news! I wonder if that was an easy response as they're already in the process of building these this week/next? Either way, thanks for taking the time to do this!

I don't think so. He knew what dealership I had ordered from and told me I was an October build with a mid November delivery, which is all accurate. I only mentioned in the letter I had ordered last December and was still waiting, but was frustrated to hear of all the new Nightfall orders being fulfilled before mine. I pointed out that there are a number of us on the forum (who all update each other) that are in the same boat as I was in. I said we were all getting tired of our estimates being pushed back later and later. I told him this sends a signal to customers that Kia could care less about us after our orders were in. And that directly speaks to their poor CS, whether he cared to acknowledge it or not. It is how we are all feeling. He reiterated that they hear us now and are going to try and fix the issue. We'll see if he keeps his word and calls me tomorrow. I believe him and think he will. Will keep everyone posted on what happens.

No. I'd be happy to tell you privately, but won't post his name or phone number on here since he was decent enough to respond to me immediately. You can email me at kaopac61atgmail.com if you want, Stephen. You've certainly been decent to help us all out on this forum.

Oh no it’s fine.. I just know those guys really well.

Wanna share the number and what you emailed to Kia so we can write and call with our own concerns?

I have to believe if KIA were smart - they would have people registered on forums like this and the theme of non nightfall SX Prestige delays has been a common theme that has only gained traction in the last couple of months. Hopefully we will see some reaction soon and that SXP production actually increases noticeably.

We'll see if he keeps his word and calls me tomorrow. I believe him and think he will. Will keep everyone posted on what happens.

Please let us know. The guy I had been talking to went silent after a couple of back and forth interactions.

949-468-4800. Corporate HQ in Irvine, CA ask to speak to executive office. I faxed my letter since previous call was ignored. In the past my calls have been returned within several days.

I basically explained that I ordered my vehicle in December of 2019 and while I could understand delays due to covid-19 I was not willing to accept further delays because a newer edition of the Telluride (that didn't exist at the time I ordered my vehicle) was pushing my vehicle manufacture date later and later in this year. It was polite and respectful. It worked.

Went with the faxed letter - thats a good move!

I basically wanted to rally the troops and do something like this but on a larger scale with multiple people on the letter. Maybe that won't be necessary and you alone may have caused them to review all "sold orders" on SXP's in their system with July allocations aka the first one post-COVID shutdown for the SX trim.

I hope he didn't tell you everything you wanted to hear and yes you to death. I also hope if they make it right, as he said, it applies to more people and not just you.

Good luck and I hope you get that call back

Ed

I think that's all any of us are asking for: Fair manufacturing dates AFTER the Covid shutdown. We've been patiently waiting, and haven't held KIA or our great dealers responsible for the COVID delays at all. But to manufacture new NF orders that came in after our orders is just plain unfair. I don't even begrudge them for the desire to get some NF editions on lots to spark sales. But to push our pre-NF orders back to fill NEW NF ORDERS is wrong.

I certainly appreciate your efforts and for being the voice of many like me who get frustrated to see vehicles get manufactured after our orders were accepted. To see a Wolf Gray get allocated to my dealer WAY after my order was accepted is frustrating as hell. So thank you for all of us who are in this boat.
