  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Non Nightfall SX Prestige Waiting Room

I hate to throw the proverbial t*rd into the celebratory punchbowl, however I made 'that' type of call over a month ago got similar response, sympathetic.....didn't know .........wah wah wah.......... I hope you get actionable results rather than empty promises. Felt like my dealer wasn't responding and then I called Irvine, CA. KIA and they tried to blow same sunshine up my a$$. That is why I have taken a nasty negative view of them over the past few weeks. If you really think they have been monitoring this forum and NOT gotten a sense of the anger those of us who have long standing orders that are not being built or pushed aside for the NE build, then they are really blind to what is going on in consumer land.

949-468-4800. Corporate HQ in Irvine, CA ask to speak to executive office. I faxed my letter since previous call was ignored. In the past my calls have been returned within several days.

I basically explained that I ordered my vehicle in December of 2019 and while I could understand delays due to covid-19 I was not willing to accept further delays because a newer edition of the Telluride (that didn't exist at the time I ordered my vehicle) was pushing my vehicle manufacture date later and later in this year. It was polite and respectful. It worked.

Great attitude to take!

How long did you call?

If we get the same amount of SXPs manufactured tomorrow then I would say your call along with others was actually impactful.

I called over three weeks ago. Had nothing to do with this latest. That's why I commented to your earlier posts for a writing campaign with the "good luck with that comment". I try to give everyone a fair shake before casting doubt. KIA has not shown that they care about a few disappointed customers when they are making money hand over foot.

The Sr Regional manger emailed me back as I did not provide my number in my letter. He have me his direct number and asked me to call him. He picked right up, spoke to me for 10 mins, listened to my concerns and said he was calling me tomorrow with some answers. He knew my place of order (dealership) without my ever mentioning it. He asked a few questions, i.e. why was I ordering out of state, did I try to order from local in town dealer, etc. So he knew more about my order before I even spoke to him. I'm willing to trust he meant what he said and am willing to give him a chance over the next day, as he asked.

This all happened today after I faxed letter early this morning to Calif HQ.

Impactful to my call of three weeks ago I think not. SX AWD P/T GWP Dune Brown never been built.

Listen I'm trying to be positive and a small part of me believes that yourself and others that called/complained to HQ made an impact.

Sure could I be wrong. Absolutely.

Could it be the cycle of the manufacturing cycle - surely.

Why not just tell yourself that by calling you did make an impact for others... It may make you feel a bit better!

I understand the frustration but I thought you had “moved on”. A quote from one of your earlier posts.

Some good news here after a long drought of SX Non-Nightfall deliveries. After putting a deposit for a SX P/T in November 2019, I got the call today that my vehicle has shipped and will be available on Monday. I may have the record here for the longest wait. Thanks to everyone here for the indirect moral support. Great forum.

Oh boy congratulations @ssmblazer!!

We know who else will be getting a VIN# today since your vehicles are basically next to each other on the line!!

Basically the day after Paint In may very likely get you a VIN# based on the build schedules. Learn a new thing everyday.

Yeah, I always thought the VIN came after it was fully built, but according to those build sheets, it's about 1 week after the VIN hits Failcat before it's really ready to be shipped out.

@StephenCantrelle said he thinks the VIN is generated after Paint in...which is the next step. So if that is correct - I am a day or two from having a VIN. Then the biggest risk on my end is transport delays. Fingers crossed.

Come on Man, don't keep us in suspense. We're all clicking the refresh button waiting for an update

These build schedule updates from @StephenCantrelle yet add another data point to this community. Love it!
