• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... List the thing(s) that annoy you about your Telluride

Is there a setting to turn the interior lights on when I open the door? If not, that bugs me.

I turned off the rear seat check, it was driving me crazy and we are way past the car seat days. I turned off most of the nanny features, they were too aggressive imo and just got on my nerves.

yes there is a setting on the overhead console where you would turn on the interior lights. I think it is a picture of an open car door or something like that. Once you press that button, the feature will be activated.

Switch in the overhead console..should look like a door.

There is a button on the right side of the overhead controls where the sunroof controls are. Pressing it in will turn the lights on when any doors open.

Thanks everybody. Had mine about a week, loving it so far

Look up above the mirror. There are a couple of buttons. The one on the right controls the interior lights , i.e. Comes on when you open the door. Oops, already answered.

Howdy,
What is annoying?
People who come here and make comments about the Telluride and have not read the manual. People need to customize the car for how they want it.
Adjust the seat, adjust the mirrors, adjust the radio stations, volume, etc. Save your seat configuration. Go through the dash settings and configure. Go through the panel settings and configure. Turn on or off the auto tailgate open option. Configure the back seat child monitor. Configure the key FOB lock - unlock style. and so many more things.

A true vehicle annoyance = Not having a remote start on key FOB.

A couple of annoyances that I cannot find answers for (SX+Prestige). Any help appreciated:
  • Auto Rain Sensors do not work well. I would like a way to override it and use the intermittent delay
  • When receiving text messages and having them read to you, the display does not automatically go back to the previous screen after a period of time (yes I know you can push home but that is a distraction)
  • Would like a way to hit a default prompt on the infotainment screen from the steering wheel
  • Would like to turn off the alarm for the lane assist but keep the steering wheel vibration on. Seems like the alarm volume setting is for all warnings - would like to customize by setting
  • Would like auto lock when walking away from the car. I have this in our Mazda and love it
  • And yes - KEY FOB AUTO START - I do not want to have to pay over $200 / year for this service next year

One small thing that is annoying me is that the passenger side window shade is at risk of retracting into the door with min use... keeping an eye on it for now. See comparison of the other window shade.

A 3M velcro stick on did the trick for me. The window shade does not retract inside anymore...

Anyone else feel the driver arm rests are too low? Had my Telluride about a month and am getting a little neck / back shoulder pain after long trips and I'm thinking it might be because the driver arm rests are too low and my shoulder is at an awkward angle while driving, hanging too low. May try putting an inch or two cushion on the door arm rest and center console arm rest to see if that helps. Anyone else feel the driver arm rests are too low?

Maybe lower your seat.

1. That I can't change the radio volume with a control on the steering wheel like my Dodge Charger and have to use the knob.
2. Can't get Android Play to work. Going to order and try a new charge/data cable.

Pretty much happy with everything else so far.

Why can't you change the radio volume from the steering wheel? Is it not working?

oooh 😮 I’m assuming all the models lack the steering wheel volume control? That’s a bummer. This makes me realize I should make a list of things to check before finalizing the sale. Not that that alone would be a deal breaker, but stuff not working... would rather have that addressed before I drive it away.

I'm probably doing incorrect but when I try to use the 'volume' buttons next to the mode I get nothing.
UPDATE: @wazslow since your response seemed so forceful, LOL! I knew that I was doing something wrong. I will not say but I can now control the volume on the steering wheel.
