• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I'm a noob here. But my wife and I are looking to replace my 14 Pathfinder with a 21 Telluride. I've seen all the video reviews on YT. I've read all the accolades. But I wanted to find out from you, the owners, if you have complete satisfaction in the time you've owned this SUV. Have there been outlying issues? Are they simply nuisances or something with quality control? How has the overall experience been?

As the owner of the 14 Pathfinder, if someone asked me the same, I would say it has been a disappointment. The transmission has been a nightmare from day 1.

I was hoping to get this kind of feedback. I know the Telluride has an awesome warranty> But that doesn't mean I want to bring it in to get fixed and refixed 2-3 times a year either. What has you experienced been since the purchase? And I'm not talking about "service experience" but more "small things that have gone wrong experience":.
Thank you-

I was just thinking about starting this exact same thread. We're a few weeks away from our Telluride arriving and I've watched every review on the web. However, we are still a little on the fence about Kia in general (mainly service/dealer relationship post-sale). We've owned five Hondas and they've all been pretty reliable. None have been bullet proof but even when something did go wrong, Honda typically stands by their product. Yet when you compare the Telluride to the Pilot, the Pilot seems inferior.

I've read many people taking their SUV in a bunch of times for small issues. Well small issues, do occur. I understand that. But at what point does a "Bunch of small issues" equal bad build quality? 100K mile warranty is great. But if I take my car in 4-5 times a year, I consider it a lemon, whether its small or big. So that's what I'm trying to find out here from owners. How are the small issues? Are there common issues?

The reviews have all be outstanding, which is the reason why we are considering it.

Only owned mine for 9 days so far, but have been enjoying it. We also have a Stinger so that shortened my learning curve quite a bit, but I feel it also added to things that I feel aren't perfect that others may not have been concerned with.

The biggest problem for me at this point is the setting of the "Favorite" button as it tends to take me to page 2 of the home page instead of page 1. This is resolved by simply sliding the page over to get to the desired screen. In the grand scheme this is a tiny problem, but it's one that catches my eye daily. Setting the favorite button to anything else works perfectly fine.

The Stinger got me used to a one touch sun roof, and by that I mean with a single touch, you could pop it up, send it all the way back, and close it without holding your finger on the button. The telluride has one touch for the full open, but if I want to pop it up I have to hold it down. The shade up front it also manual, whereas the shade for the big moon roof is one touch. This isn't a build defect, but in my mind was a missed opportunity by Kia.

Other than these two tiny points, everything else has been great! Granted I have been with it a short time, but I can't find anything else that is wrong in a major way.

Good luck with whatever decision you end up making!

This car is the best vehicle I’ve ever purchased. It’s everything as advertised in the reviews and the Triple Crown winner of the auto awards. What more do you need?

14 months, 1 dealer visit for oil change and a software update. Just perfect.
Slight panel gaps along driver door and rear bumper on driver side, but no issues thus far, although only driven 5k in 12 months.

9 months and almost 4k miles. No issues. Luxury car features for mainstream car price. Is it apples to apples with luxury brands? No. But damn near close enough you can hardly tell.

I’m only a month in, but I’m very impressed with the quality. I’m coming from an Audi and an Infiniti prior to that.

I seriously think the Telluride is right there in terms of overall feel and build. The doors close “heavy”. The buttons feel sturdy. The car drives “strong”

Overall, I have zero regret making the change. I friggin love this car.
