  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Has anyone found that it takes a long time from the rail yard to the dealership? My car has been there since October 8th and I am getting frustrated. I’m not sure what to think! It is located about 3 hours from my dealership.

That's terrible! How do you know it's at the rail yard?

Did I miss rail yard info being housed on a site called FailRail or something?

My car sat in the rail yard in Kansas City for three weeks. The issue, as explained to me by my sales rep, is that when the factory shut down earlier in the year, the rail yard reduced their staff. The factory ramped up and the rail yards hadn't anticipated it and have been understaffed. At one point, they weren't even able to offload cars from the train in KC.

My Kia has been at the railyard for 3 weeks now. Supposed to be in late January and now we are in February. I already have my loan in place and payment due in March.. Will I get it before the payment is due I wonder? ?

How does one know it is in a railyard? I just get ETAs from my dealer that say new ETA, but it is 'shipped'.

My new K5 is currently in the same predicament and I find it absurdly ridiculous. Delay after delay, the ETA has changed 3 times. I do not get any answer other than they are waiting for a certified KIA hauler.
