Not OP, but now that you ask this, I can't even remember what ring tone I hear in the car....I'm guessing that means it's my usual one.

Whether you are connected via bluetooth, carplay or android auto, the ring should just be an extension of your smartphone’s ring sound. The head unit itself in the car does not have an independent ring sound.

Other forums have reported Android auto specifically in the Kia Stinger prevents ringtone syncing versus other manufacturers of cars. Could be a similar case here.

Maybe. It's also a Rolling Stones song-ring tone, because anyone that drives a Telluride looks like a rock star . I can hear the song on the phone but a different sound through the car. Interesting.
