I just got my Telluride SXP Black Copper Nightfall. It’s fantastic.
Right now it’s like being on the US Enterprise but not knowing what all the buttons do. It’s trial by error. There’s a lot of “What does SPK do? Let’s find out.” “Whoops ok don’t do hit Set Phasers to Kill button again...”
Kidding aside it does have one weird quirk I’m trying to work out. When you use cruise control, if you try to change lanes, sometimes it flat out won’t move over. It’ll fight you and you have to muscle it over. Seriously.
It doesn’t want to budge even when no one is around. If another car is within fifty yards it’ll really battle you as you try to slide to the next lane. It’s fine most of the time but if it were a deer jumping in the road and you needed to move in a split second, it won’t do it. That’s probably not what they had in mind when they designed it.
I’m not sure yet how to disengage that computer feature. If there’s no way to disengage it, I’ll probably have to leave cruise control alone.
Anyone have any ideas? How do I disengage or bypass that function that fights lane changes when in cruise mode?
