• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Ordered an EX at the beginning of November. Dealer told me it’d be 3 months. No big deal as I can wait 3 months. Get a call tonight that the order hasn’t been accepted tonight and can’t guarantee that I’ll get the car by March. The issue is I need the car by beginning of March as my wife and I are having our first child on March 5th. I don’t want to be dealing with the car with a newborn. Originally the wife wanted an Atlas but I talked her Into a telluride . Can anyone help? At what point do we think I will know that I for sure wouldn’t get the car before March and pivot to the atlas. Thanks in advance and so far I have been enjoying this forum and learning a lot about the telluride .

I’m in a similar wait as you, and I’ve just been checking Failcat and FB forums to see if any in my ordered model are available. Expand your range, and commit to driving a farther distance if necessary.
I came close a week ago, but probably will need to wait it out.

I have an EX Premium and an 18 month old. (Our first) There are so many variables that come into play as far as when your order gets placed so I won't address that. I will say though, I would wait for the Telluride unless you literally don't have a vehicle to transport your child. With a newborn and the pandemic on top of that, you probably won't travel much anyway for the first few weeks so if getting it is merely an upgrade, you'll likely get by fine with what you have while you wait the extra month or so. At that stage, going in to work a car deal won't be too bad, it's actually a lot easier to take them out when they're younger as opposed to once they become mobile. We had our car delivered to our house, we did all the paperwork on the tailgate of my truck so that may be an option for you as well.

MPG - Probably the biggest advantage the Telluride has over the Atlas.
RIDE - Telluride is much smoother and quieter imo.

The built in sunshades on the EX are great for baby as well.

My wife regularly comments how much she likes ours. It's just so quiet and comfortable.

I can understand not wanting to wait, I kept looking at other stuff all the way up to delivery day. I waited 7 months to get mine and in the end, I'm glad I waited but I sure got antsy at times.

I appreciate the response. Long story short we went to get an atlas first and the deal fell thru. We have sold my wife’s car already and I am back in the office daily so when baby comes she will have to have a car. Just unfortunate as when we ordered we were told 100% would have by our deadline. I get pandemic and making SX first , but I just like to be dealt with with full transparency. Hope it comes in time as I prefer the telluride . Fingers crossed
