• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I've owned my 2021 Telluride for 6 days. On four of those days, between 4:36 a.m. and 5:10 a.m. I got a pair of notifications in the App.

First is 'My Telluride's climate was set to 72 degrees F'
Followed 2-3 minutes later by "My Telluride has been stopped remotely'

Is this familiar to anyone? I don't go to sleep with my car running outside my house. I'm not awake at 4:30, playing with my phone. My keys are on the dresser so, unless less I'm sleep-fobbing, I don't think they're a problem.

Just curious.

The issue I'm having is how the notification screen is DISPLAYING the notification times. I'm seeing weird times because my East Coast remote starts/stops are showing up in the app with West Coast times. My car is not actually starting at 5 a.m. while I'm in bed; it's starting at 8 a.m. when I ask it to. Every other time I see (in the app, in the car, in the notification emails) is EST, as expected.

I spoke with UVO support and talked to a rep who had just set up a service ticket for another Telluride owner who was having the same issue. So I've glommed onto his service ticket with my case number.

Check the schedules in your app. You might have an early morning start set up somehow. Probably want to delete it if so.

Good thought. I looked in the app and I have no schedules or alerts set up.

What's interesting about that idea is that I have no messages that I remote STARTED the car, just that I remote stopped it. Like I walked outside and fired it up, went to bed, and then decided to shut it off at 5 in the morning. Weird.

When it says climate was set, that means your car was turned on. Did you check the right place for remote start schedules? Have you tried checking the website, owners.kia.com in case your phone isn’t syncing properly?

I see what you're saying about the Start message, my mistake.

All my Remote Start Schedule screen says is "+ Create a Schedule". There are no existing schedules. I definitely don't see a series of schedules to start my car at 4:36 a.m. on Fridays, 5:00 a.m. on Sundays, and 5:09 a.m on Mondays and then stop the car 2 minutes later.

I'm checking the website now to see if it shows me anything different.

The entirety of my schedule screen on both the website and my phone:

Unless you have a pre-owned car, my guess then is that there is some glitch or account mixup with the telematics in your car. Another owners’s climate schedule settings are being linked to your car on the server side?

Try reaching out to UVO call center (844) 886-9411.

KIA got back to me this week. They fixed the issue and now the notifications appear in the local time zone time and not Pacific Standard.
