Order to delivery time

Just an observation, on Failcat(website that shows vins of Tellurides being delivered to each dealership nationally), if you ordered SX AWD with N/T/P, you are pretty much screwed. Cause only like 1 or 2 get delivered daily nationally. If you order the same but EX AWD with N/T/P you are in good shape cause they are delivering ton of those on a daily basis.....So guess this is why my order has not been picked up by KFOS......

Not true. You can filter Failcat results by model and options. From the beginning of November, there are 12.5 pages of results for SX AWD N/T/P, and each page is for 25 cars. That's 312.5 since November, which is closer to 7-8 SX AWD N/T/P per day.

No worries. Just didn't want you to make us more nervous than we already are! I would guess that more EX models are being made because more EX models are being ordered. Not everyone wants, or can afford, the top of the line SX. The numbers on Failcat probably match the ratio of EX to SX models ordered (for preorders or for dealer lots).

What is meant by "pretty much screwed", is that because it takes longer to create the car. I have to look into this, for curiosity's sake.

Surprised, doesn't Kia make more margin on the fully loaded SX? Wouldn't they want to prioritize those?

If you post your VIN under the “Track My Vehicle” thread, Stephen will give you the info. That thread is specifically for looking up VIN’s. Hope that helps!

Makes lots of sense. If I were to "build" tacos in a mass production environment, I would probably do the same thing to work faster and avoid getting confused. day 1- beef tacos , day 2 - chicken tacos, day 3 quesadillas, day 4 burritos.

Question: Currently, do you think there is a shortage of parts.
Last: My dealer informed me that she would have to wait until midnight tonight (12.16.2020) to see the financials and the allocations.
Statement: I am not concerned about waiting for the ordered Telluride. I want to ensure the truth is being communicated.

Yes as the Telluride is built we have a internal schedule that we can track and get updates.

currently I do not believe factory has a shortage of parts that I’m aware of.

Do you know if you can get updates on your ordered car? I ordered mine in late Nov 2020 here in Charlotte NC black sx Prestige 2021 to be built. Is it possible at some point to get a VIN? Also, did they give you any time frame or updates on your car? I am assuming that you ordered one new. Thanks so much!
