On the left side of the map there is a little Compass arrow. Tap that and it will allow you to cycle through the different views. How do you change the map display on the home screen? It asked me when I first installed the update and I cannot find how to change it. I put it on 3D view but would prefer the top down view it used to have.
That’s when you’re in the actual map though right? I’m referring to the Home Screen that has the clock on the left and a purple gradient that shows the map on the right side. In the actual map I’m pretty sure the view is one of the 2D options. On the left side of the map there is a little Compass arrow. Tap that and it will allow you to cycle through the different views.
(One view has North always at the top, so that if you are going east, for example, it will look like your traveling to the right. Another view has it so that whichever direction you are traveling, will always be towards the top of the screen.
Yeah, unfortunately you can’t. It is the same 3D view with minimal information no matter what as long as you are on the home screen. How do you change the map display on the home screen? Setup -> Navigation -> (With Display Higlighted on the Left Click...) Map -> Map Display -> Map ViewThat’s when you’re in the actual map though right? That doesn’t seem to do it for the home screen.Setup -> Navigation -> (With Display Higlighted on the Left Click...) Map -> Map Display -> Map View
That will let you at least change it for the view when in Maps.
The next map update (V15) is supposed to have a fix to allow Android Auto widescreen use. It's expected to be released in Spring of 2021. This is the response I got from Hyundai MnSoft - North America Support
Yeah, sorry I guess I didn't read your question close enough. That’s when you’re in the actual map though right? I think that’s the Sorento you’re thinking of... it is noted as an available feature for it (and the Seltos doesn’t have any models with a 360° view as far as I’m aware).I thought I read that with the new Seltos it could use the cameras to take a picture or video of the car’s surroundings if the alarm went off or using Find my Car or whatever it’s called in the Uvo app. Any idea if that feature came with this update?
I regret updating.Wish I never updated
The change to the radio stations is my biggest gripe. I used the record function on my favorite stations to skip past songs I don't like, replay ones I do. Unfortunately, my favorite 10 stations aren't the lowest 10 in SXM's lineup. The odd part is people who haven't seen the old interface love this interface. It's spoken highly of on many k5 and Seltos reviews. I really hate how the radio stations order themselves sucks because you can only have 10 xm channels recording
That was the biggest disappointment to me when I upgraded. Had I realized that would be gone I would not have upgraded. I truly hope the makers of this software get enough complaints that they reinstate that functionality because as you stated it is useful.<snip>. However, I would really miss the handy 3 window widget view that sounds like has been removed. That’s too bad because it’s pretty useful.
I came to accept this and just rolled it into my general disappointment with the update. I really hope they fix thisHas everyone gotten use to the “backwards” seek/skip/Fast forward/rewind button on the steering wheel? I’ve asked the folks at Kia about this as they make future software changes and they wanted video to document to issue but I realize that some have come to grips with it being like “scrolling down a list” instead of the typical “up to go forward and down to go back” from most every other vehicle and apparently even some other Kias. Sounds like they might entertain helping make a change if it’s a big enough “issue”.
No, it was like this before the update. This is one that I think we will just have to get used to.Is this associated with the update? My understanding is that it did this before the update and is intended to be this way.
