14.10 update (November 2020) now available

Android Auto with a Galaxy S9 is a bust. I ended up connecting to waze and bluetooth on my 20 hour trip. It will start up ok for android and then start flickering like the connection is faulty to my phone. I am using the samsung cable it came with. I realize that after a few years and connections with the phone get loose and no matter what you get this connectivity problem so it might be my phone. I used the KIA guidance and maps, seemed fine. I do have the latest update.

I noticed something weird which If I set a destination to navigate in the system's maps, then I try to navigate to a destination through Google Maps in Android Auto screen, the split of system's maps will disappear I will try again. But, by using Waze app in Android Auto to see if the same thing happens.

Just to update, when navigating with Waze, system's maps split screen doesn't dissapear. It happens only with Google Maps, I don't know why.

One more thing, driving stats been removed right? I can't find it anywhere. I used to have it on my home screen.

It works fine with me. I use the Galaxy S8 and sometimes my daily phone the Galaxy S10, all good.
It just happened that a couple of times the system got stuck.

That has been gone for a bit. It was first removed with the 14.0 update (Apr 2020).

Guess, I didn't notice that since this is the first update I have performed on my car. They just released it for our region.

If you update the software of your cars infotainment and you get 12 pages of complaints and issues, I don't think they worked this out. If this is coming on the brand new cars, I would think the will be updating it soon. Or at least hope.

The weather widget on split screen isnt working right. It give me temperature, but nor forecast data

If your UVO subscription is up, Forca forecast service won’t work. It has been a mixed bag. Still works for some without UVO subscription.

One benefit of original v13 software. Forecast used HD radio, not internet. Not everybody has HD radio reception in their area though. Cant win them all.

This has probably been asked but once UVO subscription is done and Forca forecast goes away (assumed), does the Telluride have a basic thermometer for outdoor temperature (see this in the gauge cluster) or is this fed from the Forca forecast?

The current temperature is using the vehicle’s own observed temperature regardless. Other information is from forecast data and may or may not show up based on subscription.

Yea, all I'm getting is the temperature from the car's built in thermometer. I never activated UVO, so was always getting it via the HD Radio. Kind of annoying they took that out, but considering 90% of the time I'm running Android Auto, and wasn't able to see it before, I guess I'm not practically any worse now with them breaking it than before. Just annoying, since that's the one widget to fill up that heretofore deadspace over there to the right of Android Auto that I was looking forward to.

Still worth the upgrade, because Android Auto does seem to have gotten a lot more reliable and faster now with the update. Or, so it seems at least.

That's good to hear about the AA connection because that is suddenly happening to me as well. I will do the upgrade just to try and improve that function.

So for those that have been inquiring, the next update is likely to arrive then.

Here's to hoping our telluride will NOT have the updated software when it arrives in May/June.

If you are only using guest profile, can you remove driver 1? It will always default to driver 1 if you have the car turned off for a while.

You might not want to upgrade at all. That skin, along with neon color, is the global Kia theme. As much as I hate it, I have a feeling it will be the default for the long run.

For the last couple of weeks it was always Guest. Only recently it started to switch. Also can't find anyway to customize to delete or remove any of the profiles. Ideally I would have only one and the others would not even be selectable (unless we added one in the future back in). Just annoying as I prefer it to be simple.
