In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... It appears that dealerships are starting to come to a similar consensus that the 2021s will likely begin taking orders in July. My 2020 will be delivered in July (SX-P). If you were me, would you walk into a dealership being one of the last 2020 deliveries and pay MSRP for an SX-P w/tow? Or would you negotiate? I can't imagine that 2020s will be going for MSRP after the 2021s start to be manufactured.

Can anyone think of a previous model year vehicle selling for MSRP? I can't.

Short answer, yes. MSRP is a deal for most of the country still. Dealer will have the upper hand in negotiations bc they can sell it for over MSRP to the next guy who walks in after you leave. Supply is not going to meet demand until next year I'd suspect.

Yes because I think the 2021 will have a higher MSRP so you will have a choice to pay for a 20 above MSRP or a 21 above MSRP. None of the improvements to the 21 appeal to me, enough to have FOMO, since I have a loaded SXP, so I really think they will still get away with above MSRP even for the 20's whilst the 21's are rolling in. Even better, by the time the 21's hit the lots, I doubt that there will be any 20's left. Also, doubt we will see the 21's anytime soon. Perhaps smug on my part because I have a 20, but based on all of the info, I bet it is Sept before we see anything. And lot's not forget, covid believer or not, there will be a second wave of this gunk and these manufacturers are union. I expect continued delay's for the rest of the year.

You should expect to pay MSRP and not a cent less. If you won't, your dealer probably has 50 people that will take a SX-P MSRP deal right now "site unseen". My local dealer has a used SX-P on the lot for $50K with 15K miles on it. I don't think he will get it, but he might....

I feel the same way, most likely I’m getting one of the last 2020s rolled off the line for July delivery. I’m getting 1% off msrp and the 1k rebate for a SX model. Normally, yes, we’d have leverage at this point but nothing seems “normal” about the Telluride demand or the current state of affairs so I’m trying to just roll with the punches and not let that take the joy out of owning a new vehicle. I’m also not feeling like I’m missing out on much with the 2021, other than the remote start.

Not to be a downer but why do you think you're getting a delivery in July? They haven't even made an SX-P since May 20th according to TellyStats. My Dec 12th order looks like it's getting round-filed. Calling dealer tomorrow.

Because I got a text from the dealer last week indicating my new delivery date.

Better question - can you think of a previous model year that had a 6-8 month wait (which will continue for the 2021's if you order one) and won just about every automotive award and comparison test known to man?

2020's will continue to sell at or above MSRP even after the 2021's hit the lot because they are that rare. Plus as others have said - the 2021's will most likely have a price increase.

I don't think the TellyStats site is working. Others have had confirmed VIN #'s produced over the last week that aren't showing on Tellystats. The guy that created that site must have taken delivery of his Telluride and quit updating it - because it hasn't worked correctly for a while.

I was just in my dealer in Orlando. I bought a SX FWD above MSRP but inflated my trade in to make it a wash. The salesrep told me they just sold the same one with Prestige in 1 day that was a special order backout for 62K. That is what's going on out there in most markets.

Kia sold 2,599 Tellurides in May (about half of last year's volume).

Hyundai sold 7,866 Palisade (being built in Korea has its advantages when it comes to production/supply in certain circumstances).

Do you think, because Palisade is cheaper selling SUV at this time.?
