If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2020 Telluride Availability at Capitol Kia San Jose CA *Old Post*

What is the range of markup on these vehicles?

Depending on the model it ranges from 3-8K. If you would like to grab one please let me know.

Not trying to be a troll, but is the markup due to just supply and demand (obviously) or something else? Reason I ask such a 101 question is that across the country this car is hot and hard to get your hands on for months. Most dealers are NOT charging anywhere near that much of a markup. Why is the CA market (or your area in particular) doing so? Higher income region?

Great question. I've seen guests show up here and said people promised them MSRP in different states. Once they get to the dealer there's extras added.
Being upfront it's the high demand for the vehicle. Once the demand goes down if it does it'll be lower. Demand hasn't changed since the vehicle came out. If anything it got higher with all the reviews.

So to make it clear, for the Trim S, Trim SX and Trim SXP that you’re advertising above, what are your Markups for each Trim? Other dealers list each model, the MSRP and any Markup so there is no confusion.

This would be a great help and avoid any confusion.

Sad to see how your dealership has backtracked from MSRP pricing in Dec.

Bay area folks...fwiw it's still possible to get MSRP at Hilltop Kia without those additional dealer fees mentioned. Lower volume dealer with more limited inventory, but not an opportunistic one!

Updated Stock; Sold many vehicles over the weekend.

That is so darn greedy, but as long as people pay those high markups, they are only enabling these dealers to do this.
I guess they better get it while they can, because it won't last forever. I sure wouldn't have any loyalty to a dealer that charged me a markup like that. Those buyers will soon notice they are very upside down on their cars, but I guess if they had the 8 K to pay over sticker, it probably won't matter much to them. Are people getting gap insurance, I wonder?

But Kia in richmond sells at msrp, no required extras, and accepts orders.
