I took my Telluride in to get my AC checked since it was blowing warm air. After 3 days I was told that my condenser was damaged probably from a rock? They wanted $1400 to fix it. I was told that it was not covered under warrantee. I was furious and immediately called KIA HQ’s and opened a case since I have noticed others had the same issues as I am having. I spoke to the Service Manager and he was not much help. I said that I am not paying $1400 for what I believe should be a recall to fix this issue and add additional protection to the AC. I explain that all the commercials with the telluride are showing it in the mud spinning around and this should not happen from normal driving on the highway. I went ahead and called my insurance and filed a comprehensive claim. This is covered with insurance and I feel as though someone should have mentioned this to me instead of trying to get $1400 from me. I will have to pay a $100 deductible and have it repaired. I am ok with that. KIA needs to do more and protect us owners. I believe a recall is necessary for this issue. I love my Telluride SX. I bought my SX when the weather was cold so I did not check the AC. I suggest that the AC be checked prior to driving off the lot. Thank you.
