2020 update 1 Available

I successfully updated our 2021 EXP tonight. I did the quick update (thanks to @ksyrah for your full update horror story!), and it took about 30 minutes. The vehicle came from the factory with NAM.12.47.44.510.205.3, and is now at NAM.13.47.44.680.201. I haven't had time to explore much since the update, but I was able to turn on split screen in Android Auto, and have noticed some differences in the map controls. I'm also now seeing traffic alerts in my area for the first time.

How did you get the split screen on Android Auto? I still have this, but with the updated interface (I think)

I realize I happened to have early access to 14.5 last week using Korean version download application. I thought that was 14.0, but it turned out that was actually 14.5.
I had not installed 14.0.

After updating map, if you still see the old versions such as Map Ver 12.47.44.510.205.3 in system info, you need to click "Update" button again. Then, it will update more software.
You can take a look at the detail steps I took in the below post link. Warning! it could take almost 3 hours if you choose "General" option rather than "Quick".

You have to go to settings > device connections. Choose Android Auto. Make sure you have the box for split screen checked.

Go to Setup => Device Connections => Android Auto
You will see the options.

There should be a quick option when the update window appears on the screen

You have to go to settings > device connections. Choose Android Auto. Make sure you have the box for split screen checked.

It worked fine on my 2021 EXP. I was comfortable trying the "2020" update on a 2021 because my system model number matched the model number associated with the update on the update.kia.com site.

No. Even if you had the files on your device, you’d never be able to get the car to see them. You’d either need to buy your own sufficiently-sized flash drive and download the update yourself or order the update on a USB drive from Mapnsoft.

I wouldn't think so since there is no way to browse to a specific folder in the UVO system. It's looking for a certain file structure to find the relevant files.

Agree. In particular, I'm a fan of:

1. The new feature displaying current location weather and destination weather simultaneously while under nav guidance. Nice touch.
2. The fact that Weather is no longer based on HD Radio signal. Instead, it's delivered through the Vaisala / Foreca internet service
