• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2020 update 1 Available

Uhhh...yeah definitely not a good idea while driving those are sounds to sleep by. I'm struggling to come up with a good reason for them to even add this at all...
Maybe when you are trying to nap in the car. Or get your kids to sleep.

do yall think a 128GB flash drive will work?

Yes 128 gb usb drive works fine. That's what I used on my 2020. Didn't cost that much more and figure it may come in handy for other things.

I've read a few posts that the latest update was "Map only" ... but clearly I've had some other software updates as well. Here are the few that I've noticed so far:
-- Sounds of nature
-- added view settings for camera (reverse, top-down/birds eye)

Anything else? Also, this is for an SX-P.

It's only a map update if you already had version 14.0 on it.

It's a cumulative update, so if your version is more than 1 version old, then you need to read the release notes for all the versions in-between as you will get anything that was changed from your version to the one you are installing.

I guess I should have started there....thx

That was the only reason I came up with too but still....I bet a future firmware update locks those tracks to only allow playing while not driving ;)

Thanks for the info! I just went through the long download, usb install, and vehicle install process. Had to crank engine after getting battery drain warning. I figured battery is sufficiently charged and shut off engine, then I remembered to not shut off engine or pull usb out during install and quickly restarted engine. Luckily install continued on without a hitch. I do get the weather info now!

So is this just me? On my PC when I click to download the Windows installer, nothing happens. No download, nothing. On my Mac I can download the installer and install, then when I run it asks where to download the files. I'm not sure if it's looking to download directly to a flash drive or to the computer itself, but neither option worked. I tried formatting the flash drive different ways (ExFAT, MS-DOS, FAT32) and the program keeps telling me that it doesn't support that type of hard drive or something. I feel like I'm missing something obvious.o_O

I just checked. Windows downloader worked fine. Are you on the correct page?

Maybe try on another browser?

Maybe your flash drive capacity is too large/unsupported.

I did it on my Mac, and I had to choose my flash drive as the device to download directly to. It worked perfectly. I had erased the drive preemptively, but it seemed ready to do it for me if I hadn’t.

FYI...I used a 32GB USB thumbdrive and it worked just fine. I know, I violated the recommendation of a minimum 64GB thumbdrive...whatever.

It might have something to do with me having the Big Sur beta installed. Then on my Windows it just doesn’t start the download of the installer file. My wife’s laptop downloaded that fine. I moved that file to my Windows machine and everything else went smooth. Weird. And I had a 128gb flash drive to boot.

Worked fine for me on the PC. Plugged it in the car and went for a drive and finished the update before I got to destination... Easy peasy...

I didn’t know it would update while driving. Interesting.

I had the same issues using chrome, and edge on my computer. I tried another computer using MS edge for windows 10 and I was able to install it. I didnt have a flashdrive big enough so I stopped. I know exactly what you are talking about. Not sure what we are doing wrong. I can you. I just tried right now and it's not work. It says waiting to resolve host then nothing happens but when I click on for Mac, I immediately get the response below
