How is blocking your back window with stuff any different than towing something big? That camera won't help there. Use the side mirrors to see behind you. Seems to have worked for 100 years or so.

Just another camera to replace down the road as well.

The difference is that the blockage is inside your vehicle versus exterior. So the camera would work for the former but as you point out not the latter.

Are camera failures a feature of Kias? I have not experienced this with other makes.

Camera failures happen to all makes. We're talking about exterior electronics that are exposed to a wide variety of conditions.

I'm just saying that if my car doesn't have that camera, I'll never have to replace it.

So touchy about any negative comments about your vehicle. Not every vehicle is perfect. I kind find plenty of of threads related to short-comings with towing and remote start as well; do you get worked about negative comments on those as well?
