• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My poor baby. 😭

I currently need a replacement hood for my 2021 Kia Telluride in Dark Moss.

Anyone have an extra/spare/saved hood in Dark Moss to sell?

Should I just put in an order with my local Kia dealership's Parts Department?

Ouch, so sorry to hear! No way to repair? Being as frugal as I am, my first inclination would be to scavenge junkyards in your area for a vehicle that matches and then get it painted to match. I realize this is a long shot. Finding one that is already matching and available.....hmm, that's going to be tough due to this cars short run. Hate to ask what the dealer is even asking these days. Perhaps another online source that sells dealer parts? Shipping would be a killer though.

Was your teenage driving your Telly when it met this condition?

Loud and clear!!!!!

Following a little to close was she?????

I have a idea..... how about trying find a gloss Black hood. That would be kind of cool.(y)

Y'all are hilarious. I'm enjoying all the speculation because it's frankly more interesting than what really happened. :ROFLMAO:

justin,

Your Telluride will be back to it's glory one day. But it is nice to have friends lighten your spirits a little.:coffee:

There wasn't enough time to get the parts/paint/fixed before this week so....

Everything's getting fixed after Thanksgiving :)

A new OEM hood will arrive at some point in time and need to be painted my favorite color: Dark Moss.

In the meantime, I drove family members up to the mountains for a Thanksgiving vacation.

The Telly, even with cosmetic front-end damage, is a champ in cold weather, so I'm driving around in Sport Mode and Snow Mode and teaching my nephew how to snowboard and compare and track paw prints (bear/lion/dog/human) in the snow, fun uncle stuff, etc.

My wiper fluid lines froze again, so I had to let my Telly sit in the sun while I mixed in the sub-zero stuff. All good now.

Only worrying thing is the crack in the windshield, but that will also be replaced when I get back to Ventura County after the weekend.

Will post updates when she's all fixed up.

Happy Thanksgiving to all !! :)

Are your wiper fluid lines freezing because of the hood damage?
