• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My HUD display has developed a round circular area that looks like screen burn. It is growing daily to where it now covers the first number of the speed limit. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I can’t get in for service until 7/9 and by then it will be totally gone. I know I can use the speedometer, etc but I like the HUD. IMG_4818.webp

What does the LCD display look like on the dash? (Just under where you see the HUD image that projects on the windshield.) Can you see any damage when the car is off? So odd.

No damage or scratches. I’m the only one that drives the car and I have never put anything in or on that area.

Please keep us posted on what the issue is/was when you get it serviced. Guessing they will replace the HUD LCD.

If it's growing daily, it sounds like something's definitely up. Have you tried contacting customer support for your HUD system?

So here is the latest…the dealership is now trying to say that the defect is is in the HUD module and is not covered under the 5 year/60k warranty. They are saying it falls under the audio/entertainment exclusion. I call major BS…waiting on a call back from higher ups now. I do know of someone else in another state with the same situation and theirs is being replaced under the basic warranty so how can one dealership say yes and another say no? So frustrating.
