Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. 1/6/2021 Ordered 2021 Kia Telluride SX Prestige with towing. Kept bugging salesman. Finally in June 17, 2021 got a call "your Telluride is here". Asked him, is it 2022, since Kia started shipping it. He said yes. Wife and I picked it up on July 5. MSRP 50,810 (SX Prestige Towing, Nightfall interior, Dune Brown) + 2000 premier extended warranty + 999 protection package + 299 anti theft + 250 doc fee + tax

It replaced 2005 Honda Odyssey Touring, which we got in May 2005. Worked great, was getting old, had a few things to be replaced. Kids are old, so wife said let us look at SUV. Looked at Pilot, Highlander, Palisade and Telluride. Close call between Palisade and Telluride, but reviews on Telluride were just too good to pass up. It took six months to get it after we placed order. But bonus was got 2022 instead of 2021. Almost all dealers in Cincinnati wanted a premium,, except Superior. Of course,, I was so grateful, I said ok on the "protection" and "anti theft"

Is the anti-theft system for the Telluride an "add-on"? Is it an option!?
It is an addon (I think it is a dealer "enhancement" $299 , maybe I am wrong). According to the salesman, "if your car is ever missing or stolen they can find it electronically". Funny, UVO does the same thing. I personally think it is dealer padding just like the "protection" package i got for $999. I was grateful that I paid MSRP and so a little feed to the dealer was ok.Congratulations on your new Telluride!!

Please don't say you paid MSRP if they made you buy non-negotiable add-ons. Anything else over $1300 you already paid? This is on the low side of dealer mark-ups, but it's still something that normally goes in "bad dealer" thread.

Based on his post above, he also paid $2k for an extended warranty, so now we're at $3300 to MSRP. Hey, at least the dealer fee was a reasonable $250! Superior Kia has been a decent dealership - not sure if those add-ons were mandatory or buyer just said yes. In any case, he's happy!
