• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Would you have to be from Missouri. I’m in Illinois I’m interested.

I'm not from Missouri. You're fine. You just licensed it up in Illinois. There are some states, for example, California....they won't let you drive off the lot without paying sales tax and license, then they transfer it up to your state. But I believe Missouri allows you to drive it off the lot with a temp permit, then you register, and pay your fees and taxes in your home state.

So what would be the next step? I’m looking everything up.

Nice. I bought my Telluride EX this past Sunday at Huntington Beach, CA. Had to pay a markup of 2K. I spoke to at least 10 different car dealerships here and no one was willing to sell at sticker.

I'm having a change of heart. 50/50 I keep the order. If interested, let me know how I can get a hold of you, and I'll reach out if I decide to not go forward with my purchase.

Just wait it out. Napa leather sounds so nice with the black on black. I like your style and best of luck to you.

Is this still available? I may be interested.

Have you talked to your dealership? Do they allow you to transfer order? I would think the person next in line will take it over automatically.

To answer your question....when I placed my deposit back in February, it was at MSRP. Today, the GSM recently informed me of a couple of things. They are no longer accepting new deposits at MSRP. They now have a dealer markup of $5,000, because revenue is down as a result of very low used car inventory. He also informed me that if I cancel my order, (prior to the day it hits their lot), he's happy to refund my $500 deposit, because they will sell my car to someone else, with the the $5,000 dealer markup.

To answer you question on...will they allow me to transfer my spot to someone else? That's a question I'm going to ask. Frankly, I should just delete this post, as the dealer will indeed refund my deposit.

I'm still up in the air if I should go forward with the deal.

What's your other option if you decide to not go for it?

Hey I’m in Missouri and interested in taking your spot I actually have a reserved Telluride and actually want to slide up to the Prestige.

I think it’s the same dealership.

Trying to pick between the SX - Nightfall White and Espresso that I have reserved. But I like the black copper and tan Napa.

If I decide to not buy? Hold out and wait. I'm struggling on how big the Telluride is. The upside is I would sell a premium late model Mercedes sedan and a GMC SUV to combine into one Telluride. But....it's a huge rig, and not sure it's a "driver's car", (fun to drive). A head turner, yes. Fun to drive, low MPG, huge rig.....is the question.

As you know, I've ordered an Ebony Black on Black. I actually would change the wheels out, (not a fan of the black wheels). They would be polished chrome, 5 spoke.

I don't feel that the Telluride is a "huge rig" compared to Tahoe, Suburban, etc.

If your order is at MSRP, I think you would be super foolish to give it up now.

???? I don't know what kind of mileage you're getting in your vehicles but the Telluride is definitely competitive in its class as far as fuel economy is concerned. It doesn't feel huge to me. A new E class Mercedes is like 2 inches shorter than a Telluride and is rated slightly better in fuel economy. Have you driven a Telluride?20220814_163020.webp

That is better gas mileage than I expected. Yes, I've driven the Telluride many times. This week, will be my 3rd or 4th time. Plan to drive one again this week, just to give confirmation.

I ended up picking up my Telluride. Hope you made a decision on yours I’m sure you won’t regret it.

Thanks. Curious....is this primarily for you, or is it your family SUV?
