If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

Which did you purchase from Fusz or Butler (or one outside of St Louis)?
I purchased from Butler. At the time I ordered my 22 they at least had a used one on the lot I could test drive. Fusz provided no options for a test drive...they just told me if I ordered one and didn't like it when it came in, I could cancel and get my money back. It seems that Fusz may have a larger allocation than Butler, but hard to tell which one could have gotten my Telluride faster. Butler has received A LOT of 23's already. I heard that Fusz may have some other documentation fees, I'm not sure. Butler charged MSRP + $347 Doc fee. No issues closing the sale.

I ordered from Fusz. It was one that converted. Still haven’t received but my updated order was sent to Kia. Their doc fee is about the same, if not the same (it was in the $300’s).

Failcat is weird. I got a call from my dealer on a backup order (2023 EX AWD, Black/Gray, VIN: 5XYP3DGC1PG340064) that is arriving this weekend and there's no record of it on failcat. Had to ask for VIN and find the windows sticker.

In May 2022 I placed deposit and ordered 2022 Telluride SX-P with Gravity gray/Gray interior.

The dealer called on 10/22/22 with 'good news' that they will now 'finalize' my order for 2023. I confirmed the revised original order: 2023 SX-P Gravity gray/Gray. He sent me a screen print confirmation that they have 'placed' the order. He said will call me with order number!

Dealer called again on 11/5/22 to say Kia will not accept orders for Gravity Gray or Wolf Gray anymore. Wanted me to select another color white, red. green, etc. - all of which I hate.

What is going on?
How many stages of ordering are there - where Kia or dealer can reneg?
They confirmed that they 'placed' the order a month ago! Now, they 'can not order' GG?!
Anyone been refused Gravity Gray order after waiting 6 months?
This is a serious issues, after waiting for 6 months!
If Kia is not 'accepting' orders for GG or WG, why isn't there a public announcement or information in trade press?
Is the dealer conning me?
Any Advise on what to do?
How can I reach management at Kia to verify and complian?

Thank you.

You can definitely order gravity gray / gray on sx-p. Here’s Failcat showing 2023s. Wolf grey is only available on xline or xpro. No grey seat option on xpro or xline so maybe that’s what your order is for? Only can get terracotta or black seats with xline or xpro on gravity gray or wolf gray.

Thank you. My order is not xline or xpro. Just straight SX-P. It was a valid color combination in may, in october and today. Kia website shows today that gravity gray / gray on sx-p is available for ordering. Is the dealer bluffing?!

Seems like it to me. Can you text them a screen shot of the build and ask why they are saying not possible?

Can anyone potentially weigh in on why there are so many EX X-line Tellurides being produced right now? Also, there seems to be a large amount SX Prestiges being produced. I mean, maybe they trims are hugely popular. I see about 986 EX X-lines in Failcat right now and about 890 SX prestiges. Then I only see about 155 SX X-lines.

Just wondering why this is case since Kia doesn't really appear to following the build mix which was leaked in the dealer guide and the end of August/beginning of September. In that powerpoint, they said the build mix was going to be 9%, 10%, and 8% for the EX X-line, SX X-line, and SX Prestige, respectively. In that dealer guide, it also says the SX prestge X-line would have the most allocations at 13% of the build mix but I only see 295 of those in Failcat right now.

It just cannot be a parts shortage thing either as the trims with the lowest amounts built share the same features as trims with large amounts already built.

From what I can tell they never have followed "leaked" or announced production information or had their online configuator accurate. Same was true for the nightfalls when they first came out. For a while seemed like that's all that they were producing.

They are a for profit business. They build according to drivers of margin and revenue.

Thanks for wondering. It is professionally applied and gives a better finish then vinyl can and more coverage than the overlays sold . It is also cheaper than wrapping or replacing these panels. With enough coats it is more durable as well. I was able to sell a job and stay in budget with a better outcome. Feel free to reach out to my business with any further questions

Is there a list somewhere that details the different model codes from failcat?

We ordered an SX X-line which I assume is.... SX-X V6 AWD, but I want to make sure I'm looking understanding the codes in failcat.

Thanks!!

About 10 days ago I woke up to an email from our Kia dealer saying "Great News, you will have your Telluride by Christmas!".
I responded "Excellent! Awesome news!".

Then I got a follow up email about 2 hours later, "My apologies, there was an error with our system, it put your name on a Telluride arriving that does not match your order"...

The high and low low.

Ugh - what a high and then low - what a bummer!!! Sorry to hear. I'm so close to getting mine. My issue is that Kia isn't allocating many SX-Prestige X-Lines, so even though I'm at the top of the list, it's slow going. I was number 3 for that trim and after the last allocation I'm number 2. So I should either get picked up in December or January. :-(

Same exact situation here. Need to call my dealership and ask if they have any updates as they told me Dec for getting ours but no new orders have shown up in failcat for my dealership since 11/5. We were 10th in line over all for all orders back in Oct.

My dealer just called me and told me it’s at the lot. No heads up or anything. Not the worst thing in the world but it only bought me a day or two to find the best deal for my car and get financing lined up. Hopefully picking up today.

Yea, it has been a waiting game.

I am in the same boat with the SX-Prestige-X-line.... Doesn't seem like Kia is producing enough of them, which makes no sense to me.

Exactly! Leaked dealer guide showed that trim should be allocated about 13% - the highest and yet it's been about 2-3% - very frustrating. Dealer has been great - been providing me all good information. It's just Kia and how they are allocating trims. The good news is that they are still making this trim, albeit just very few.
