• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

Obviously this thread is really long but I was wondeirng if someone who knows can tell me what new *features the 23 has?
The interior gauge thing is new, and the exterior changes we have discussed at length - is there any new functionality compared to the 22 though?
Full rundown in the press release. That’s the only info out so far.

How is the ‘23 taillights different from the ‘22 taillights?

The reverse lights are in the bumper rather than the top of the waterfall.

I just realized that and to me it looks cheap (at least in the pics)

I think reverse lights look better at top.
But they are more functional down low. I feel in the bumper will help the backup camera work better at night. Up top other people will see you backing up but you won’t be illuminating the ground very well.

Asian Petrolhead just posted a (non-driving) review of the ‘23 Palisade, and it looks like the Calligraphy/Limited trims have a fully computerized display for the climate controls, while the Telluride is still sticking with the old-school LCD digital display.

Still Team Telluride, of course, but I’m a little jealous…

Note that’s a Korean-spec model. All of the 2023 press pictures of the US-spec Palisade still had the same setup as always.

Those leg extensions on the palisade got me jelly. The telluride leg extensions suck ass. I wonder how good the massage chair is. It's probably additional charge on top of the calligraphy but I wouldn't' be surprised if it's included.

When
I am currently in queue for a 2022 waiting to be picked up from the St. Cloud, MN dealership. A few weeks back I was number 18 in line for SX (green moss exterior, no premium package or nightfall) trim and they get 4-6 orders allocated every three weeks, so hoping to be picked up by July.

I am like most here where I prefer the new interior and would love to keep the moss exterior without the chunky odd grey front end. I think having the 4 way lumbar support, passenger lumbar + the new tech features would be great, but do not know if it trumps the odd looking exterior front chin strap. Oh what to do…

Anyone know if boss moss will be an available color on the 23? I think if so I might delay…

Thoughts from the members!?
When did you order? I ordered from there as well at the end of February! Haven’t been picked up yet, but I have no idea my place in line!

I ordered December 5, so it’s been a bit.

I just called them this weekend and had to tell the receptionist that my sales manager had been “unresponsive at best.” He then called me a few minutes later as getting updated over phone, VM is near impossible.

I am number 10 in line for the SX allotment is what he said, so they pick up 3-5 SX’s every three weeks, so reasonable to think another 1.5-2 months until it is picked up.

What trim did you order!? Color, interior color, options?? Can’t beat the 200k powertrain warranty. Are you concerned if your order flips to 2023??

I am having the same issue…sales manager and sales guy won’t respond to me either. I have tried calling but it never lets me leave a voicemail when calling the manager and I’m always told they will “pass along a message” for the manager to call me back with no response. Very frustrating! I actually had a 2022 White SX-P AWD with black interior that I got in September that I waited 9 months for but it got totalled in February so I ordered the exact same thing. I had the illuminated scuff plates and interior lighting and I didn’t regret it one bit so I got those add ons again this time. I definitely don’t want a 2023…I was hoping to get my order picked up before the conversion to 23s. They messed up a good thing that’s for sure! I’m not a fan of the rugged look. I might consider a Kia Sorento if my order gets switched, those are pretty sharp too but I loved my telly!

Just talked to the sales manager today and he claims he can’t tell me what number in line I am and that it “doesn’t exist,”meaning he can’t tell me what number I am. I kept saying well other people know their spot in line and he said nope it doesn’t exist, Kia only picks up certain month’s orders so right now they’re picking up orders from September and that I’m looking at about another 8-12 months. WHAT! What a joke!

I actually like it at the bottom. Now the reverse lights don't break the flow of the taillights. PLUS I think as of right now that portion doesn't light up at night but on the '23s that portion at the top does light up at night so you see the whole taillight light up instead of just the outside portion and the top portion is semi-lit because of bleeding light.

St. Cloud MN. Worst experience, do NOT recommend!
swildman18: Not doubting your bad dealer experience (I'm in Texas, so nowhere near Minnesota). Lack of communication from dealers is quite common, as you've probably noticed on this thread. FWIW, my dealer was never able to tell me my place in line. That said, I ordered an SX on January 10, was quoted 4 to 6 months wait time, and will probably pick up my vehicle in early June... so 5 months was spot-on.

As others have mentioned on this thread, order wait times are driven by numerous factors... not the least of which is the trim level you ordered. SX trims are the highest volume (and as a result, get filled more quickly), so if you ordered an LX, S, or EX the wait time may be substantially longer (even than what you were quoted). If you haven't already, I'd suggest looking-up your dealer in Failcat and reviewing how many of each trim level they have filled each month. If you (through some miracle) can get info on how many orders they have in queue, that might give you a sense for how much longer you may have to wait.

Good luck!

Same here. I asked where I was in line and dealership seemed to dodge the question, just gave me some general answer about wait time etc. Part of me thinks this may be a red flag because I may be so far back in line that if they told me, they'd be afraid I'd walk away. On the other hand, from what I could find out through the forum and failcat, their wait time seems to be right around 6 months. Ordered March 3rd and really hope I get a '22 still.
