• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

Could be a hybrid they're testing with these wheels. Either way the wheels are awful.

While I was waiting on my telly I been thinking. First off when do newer models come out? Around what month?

But curious to know or if y'all think the telly will be hybrid anytime soon like the new sorento. That's the only thing I feel is missing from the telly (well actually wireless Android auto to) Hopefully it comes in a few years but I plan to keep this 2022 until (well if) it happens.

I would guess production may 2022 and available July 2022... I purchased my 2020 July 2019 so just taking a guess on that pattern.

That sounds about right. July is when the 2022s first starting hitting dealer lots.

Have a 2022 SX Prestige on order and expecting delivery 5/2022. My sister put in an order for a 2022 Genesis GV80, but was told last week due to microchip delays and other supply chain issues Genesis has stopped producing 2022's. They are now only going to build 2023's going forward. Genesis was unable to provide a delivery date.

Wondering if the same is true for the 2022 Tellurides? Did anyone hear anything?

Dealerships around me are still taking orders for 2022 Tellys, so I’d assume they are still being made.

Wow!! They are probably going to make make modifications to alter things for the chips that are missing... thats crazy though...wow!

Every company turns over their models at different times. For all I know, Genesis might normally start producing 2023 MY vehicles in February, so this would not be a long delay (we bought my wife's 2020 Mazda CX-30 in the first week of March 2019).

Kia is going to be producing as many Tellurides as they can through sometime in May. Whether your get a 2022 or 2023 depends on when your order gets picked up by KFOS.

Interesting to see the roof rails are no longer flush. I guess that helps you tie stuff down more, but not as sleek looking. Also noticed the stacked fog lights on either side.
Could this perhaps be the x-line/x-pro trim? The xline Sorento gets raised roof rails

Is there any speculation on what changes may be coming on the 2023 model Telluride? A related question, when is the model year changeover? I thought that I read that the new model year starts delivering in June but that orders placed in March or later are converted in KFOS to the next model year.

It'll be interesting to see how they convert if the various rumors on the switch to X-Pro and X-Line take place. My dealership is claiming that my order will arrive in 4-6 months from Jan 2022 with it leaning more to the 4 month range, so I don't think I'll make the switch to '23 but we'll see.

Any orders not picked up in April KFOS will be 2023 model.

Last year I ordered from Murray in early May and was told that anything starting in May will be a June production and a next model year order.

You can calculate when you need to order based on the dealer backlog, but it's probably safe to order now at most places other than I-25 Kia.

Great info and I think I'll be before May with pickup so I won't have to worry about price increase or other changes. The only thing I wouldn't mind is that if the 2023 models come with wireless CarPlay but I can do without it.

While we love our Telly, it's an EX and even though it has the premium package, there are some bells and whistles on come with the SX-P that we would like. Mostly practical stuff like the 360 degree camera, display BSM and front proximity warning, but the Nappa leather looks nice too and the HUD could be useful. We will almost certainly upgrade to the SX-P, but want to get the 2023 model for a variety of reasons, and are quite happy to tool around in the EX until the model year changeover.

I had good luck with Murray the first time around (though they did mess the order up a bit, something that was not discovered until very late in the process), so would go with them for Telluride Redux. They are quoting 10 to 20 months lead time, but won't provide any assurance that it will be a 2023. Given the protracted lead time, I don't think it makes much difference if I wait until May to place the order.

Watch this space for a lightly used, well cared-for 2022 Telluride EX-P, perhaps as soon as late this year!

All the things you mention on SX are well worth the price difference....I didn't go with SX-P but I could see why you would want that. Don't forget you can get Dune Brown leather if you go SX-P (Butterscotch on SX). I'd probably order around March - there's basically no way you get picked up in KFOS in two months with the current wait list. And if that happens, you can always pass and reorder as soon as it's picked up. I'm sure Roger will be happy to resell your order.

I'd love a Dark Moss with Dune Brown combo; my lovely bride, not so much . . . the compromise is Wolf Grey with black Nappa. And though I'm not a huge fan the Nightfall option, it does look sharp with the grey.

I'm sure that Murray would be happy to re-sell my order in the unlikely event it came in as a 2022 model but per Roger, if I pass at that point, I would forfeit my deposit. It's probably worth taking a chance and placing an order in March however as it seems very unlikely that the order will be picked up in KFOS before the model year change cuts in.
