• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

While we love our Telly, it's an EX and even though it has the premium package, there are some bells and whistles on come with the SX-P that we would like. Mostly practical stuff like the 360 degree camera, display BSM and front proximity warning, but the Nappa leather looks nice too and the HUD could be useful. We will almost certainly upgrade to the SX-P, but want to get the 2023 model for a variety of reasons, and are quite happy to tool around in the EX until the model year changeover.

I had good luck with Murray the first time around (though they did mess the order up a bit, something that was not discovered until very late in the process), so would go with them for Telluride Redux. They are quoting 10 to 20 months lead time, but won't provide any assurance that it will be a 2023. Given the protracted lead time, I don't think it makes much difference if I wait until May to place the order.

Watch this space for a lightly used, well cared-for 2022 Telluride EX-P, perhaps as soon as late this year!
DIBS! LOL

The factory hasn’t put out a single telluride today according to failcat. Makes me wonder if they are preparing for MY2023 production.
No VINs are produced on Sundays so Monday’s are almost always 0.

I don't know about most of you, but I'm pretty stoked for Wednesday.
Maybe it’s the pessimism brought on by the non stop bullshit fuckery of this current buying climate, or my nihilistic apathy, brought on by the….non stop bullshit fuckery of this current buying climate, but I’m not excited in the slightest for Wednesday. BEST case scenario; I LOVE the 2023 Model, and have to put in a custom order that will take 8 months to reach me, and cost me 15k over MSRP. 🤷🏻‍♂️

My Telluride dream fades further and further away with each passing day.

Have you taken the time to read any of this forum? You can place a custom order with Fowler Kia in Colorado today, and have a Telluride at MSRP (or shipped to you for under $2k) in less than 8 months. There are many other MSRP dealers. Step one is ordering one, not waiting for the market to quickly improve and market adjustments to go away.

🤣 Bro, 99% of your posts are negative. Numerous peoole have given you solutions to your supposed problems and yet you persist. Don't you have something better to do than try to buzz kill all the time?

Actually, yes, I have. What I HAVEN’T done, is find the expendable income and time it would take to order a Telly, wait 6 months for it, then fly to COLORADO, and drive it back to NEW JERSEY. I don’t get how this type of a thing is an option for so many people.

I am excited. Haha though I'll probably stick with my 2022 order unless something big changes. How long until the available options show up on the website to order a 2023 after April 13th? I want to know EVERYTHING! HAHA

Just ship it. That's what I'm doing (shipping to Florida).

AGAIN, search the following thread and find a dealer close to you selling at MSRP.

Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

If you don't find one close to you, and can't afford to go get one, maybe you can't afford a Telluride and should lower your expectations. If you can't afford one or can't stand to wait like everyone else, move on to another vehicle and quit bitching daily Iike you have been, making everyone's forum experience less enjoyable with every post you make. Your whining is getting ridiculous.

Arapahoe confirm 2023 will be at MSRP and no mark up. But timing is question. Release typically in fall.

To be honest plenty of us have gotten these at msrp. Just have to be a little flexible and patient. I just picked a 2022 last week at murray kia and if I like the 2023 I will order it very soon, knowing I won't have it for 8 months ish.

Here's how it will go:
Me: Hey, murray kia I'd like to order another telluride .
Murray: okay it'll be 12 to 20 month wait.
Me: sounds good
Result: I will probally end up with a 2023 in 8 months ish at msrp.

Or

Me: Hey, murray kia I'd like to order another telluride .
Murray: sorry not taking sx and awd orders currently. Come back in a month
Me: okay thanks, I'll try again In a month.
Result: I will probally end up with a 2023 in 10 months ish at msrp.

It's honestly not super difficult. There are different avenues. You just have to make the move if you want it. If I like the 2023 I guarantee I will have a 2023 telluride by January 2023 at the very latest at msrp.

But I’M the one making the experience unpleasant…..hmmm

You're acting like the world is singling you out and making this difficult just for you. This affects everyone. Yet I was able to get a Telluride at MSRP last August near Philadelphia. @zhelder got one at Nutley Kia in NJ. Folks got MSRP cars at Abeloff Kia in Stroudsburg PA. There are dealers in CT and upstate NY that will sell at MSRP. Will you need to wait a bit? Yes, everyone has been waiting a bit. Can you skip the line and get one with a ridiculous market adjustment? Yes, that option is there as well.

Bottom line, most high-demand vehicles right now are hard to get. Telluride is up there with the most in-demand vehicles. This is not unexpected and affects everyone. Deal with it or complain, see which gets you a Telluride quicker.

My issue here is, how am I saying it only affects ME? I'm venting, ON A FORUM, about the car buying process that is affecting everyone. I've studied the forum, contacted a lot of the suggested dealers, only to find that the information is incorrect or no longer relevant. Example, you JUST mentioned Nutley Kia. Nutley will ONLY sell in you are in their "local market." If people "read the forums," like they accused me of not doing, they would see that I posted that a while ago. Or MAYBE, it's hard to catch every single post on a thousand thread forum. hmmmm...

Ol' panties in a bunch Hangfire up there actually clued me in to what I think the problem is; he basically called me poor, but I think the issue is that some people like him, are willing to overspend 20k on a depreciating asset, which is exactly how one becomes poor in the first place. So, I'll leave the terrible business decisions to people like him and his ilk. I currently drive a Mercedes; I can handle a KIA TELLURIDE PAYMENT, thank you very much, but why would I pay 60k for a car that is 43k, that will be 38k when I drive it around the block. (yeah, yeah, current market that's not the case.....etc, etc....it WILL correct.)

Bottom line, I'm actually a little taken back at how snippy and rude a bunch of people got because I'm frustrated with an objectively frustrating process. When I signed up, I got a message from the webmaster stating that it was a respectful place, but I got met with personal attacks because I said that I was frustrated at how insane this process is.

But, I see I'm totally in the wrong place, and will take my constant "bitching and whining" elsewhere.

Thanks to the people that were informative, helpful and respectful. Eat a you know what to the ones that weren't.

Don’t stress over it. Some folks forget that they can just scroll past your post if they don’t like what they are reading. So anyways . . . About that 2023!

Have you tried looking at Nowcar.com? That is where I purchased our Telluride. It took 8 months to get it (took from March till August to get an allocation) and I paid slightly under sticker. I believe they are charging over sticker now, but not sure. Nathaly at Nowcar was great to work with, no BS, and they delivered the Telluride in a local Walmart parking lot near me. Good luck!

I'm not suggesting you're poor in the slightest. Also, I can't afford a $20K markup, not even close. I was able to sell my 2013 Honda Accord for $14K and have $5K to put down as a down payment. That's the only way I am able to afford it myself. My point is, if you can't afford a $150 plane ticket to go oick one up, maybe you're stretching yourself too thin. Being frustrated is fine, but geez man, it seems like every post of yours is shooting down other people's suggestions, or whining. We get it, it sucks, but constantly complaining doesn't solve the issue and only serves to make you look like a cry baby. I can't afford a BMW M5 Competition, but I'm not going to cry about it on the Beemer forums every chance I get.

Ehh, it's not about scrolling past, it's about forum etiquette. Trying to keep the forum positive by highlighting the negative and eradicating it.
