• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

SXP is not really a separate trim; it's SX with an optional package.
The “P” was an optional package on the SX, for 2020-22, but for 2023, it is now its own trim, to gain consistency with other Kias (Carnival, Sportage, Sorento).

You can get either a “core” SX-P (similar to what we know now as the regular SX with Prestige package), or add the X-Line or X-Pro packages depending on the degree of off-road posing you want to do in addition to having top-end features.

The scraper is now readied for the 2023 model year! (y)
I feel like I saw that message a few weeks ago. I definitely know I saw it within the last few days, but I thought I also saw it a while ago.
Does anyone else know if this is (or isn't) the case?

That message has been there at least a month, probably more.

I was thinking xline / ex level with dawning red / terracotta .. but now I’m wondering if I’ll regret not going for the SX. I like the look of the blacked out tires but I’d never ever tow anything or go off-roading . I live in pittsburgh, so there is a need for AWD at least.
I think now as I’m waiting to place the order, i might want a regular SX to get some of the upgrades and just get the mahogany seats instead. If the prices are around the same, this might be a $2k difference?
Thoughts? I have a 2013 base soul i drive now so basically anything i get will be a significant upgrade. I do have a baby and 2 year old now though. But again, I’ve lived without all the fancy stuff for the last 10 years in the soul lol
I am pretty much in the same boat, initially ordered EX-P but now debating myself between the new EX and SX. The price difference is probably around $3K. If I decide to go with the SX, I’d further upgrade it to SX-P because of the second row heated seats. Then it will further stretch the price difference. I also need AWD so adding the X-line package to the invoice is very likely. With all these packages, options, add-ons, my head is getting bigger and bigger. Does anyone know the X-line also includes towing or we have to pay extra?

I'd go for SX Prestige X-Line. Usefully features over EX, and higher resell value.
What features are considered “useful features” over EX do you think, besides the additional safety features that experienced drivers might not rely on at all?

My original order was ex-p too. I think I’m going to need to have the dealer run the numbers on the difference. I really don’t think I need the SX-P with all the adds on. However, i do wonder if I’ll regret not getting the SX or SX Xline. My husband still thinks i stick to the least expensive of the ones i narrowed it down to though.

It’s honestly like a grey interior (I think the Sportage or something has it). First color that comes to mind would not be green when I saw it.
SAGE GREEN in Sportage

Well looks like the order banks didn't open today after all. Kia is really slow to the game here.

My sales person said two weeks or so he will be contacting me to rebuild my order ..

I was hopeful there was some truth to these rumors of this week, but all just speculation. The latest i saw was that all the gms had their meeting this week and there might be another meeting tomorrow. Perhaps tomorrow they’ll get the pricing/training stuff to prepare for the ordering.

I had my choice of ordering 4 different Palisade today due next month at msrp. I resisted because i think ultimately i do want a telluride. But dang this wait is tough

Agreed - Palisade are rolling in and tough when it look soooo much better with the new grill vs telluride. I just wish we knew pricing combos

I’m beating a dead horse, but the improvements to the Palisade have leveled the playing field. Oddly, I’m having a tough time finding a Palisade at MSRP but can easily order a Telluride at MSRP. o_O

I’ve found both tellurides and Palisade for msrp the last 2 months. I don’t think they last long. The one today was a SEL + premium and that was a hard one to walk away from since it had all the tech features just not the leather seats. It was black though and i don’t wash my car nearly enough to ever own a black vehicle again. They also had several limiteds coming in.

The tellurides offered to me were all higher trims too. I think people are more likely to walk away from those price tags it seems. I’ve yet had a S or EX offered from someone walking to me.

And I’ve passed them all up waiting to see what i can get with a 23… i hope it’s not a mistake

My local dealer has been getting 22s in regularly. I've passed on 4, including a wolf gray SXP. Holding out for the 23 to come available.

Stupid question: can you buy from one dealer and have the car serviced at another?
If a car comes with first 2 or 3 years free maintenance, you can service it in any same brand (manufacture brand, not dealership brand) dealership for free. After your free years plan is gone, you need to pay no matter where you go for service.

For some car purchase, especially lease, it may not come with maintenance plan. In this case, when you meet the finance person, he/she will try to sell you a service plan, then you need to read carefully about whether the plan is that dealership only or not. You can also decline it if you just want to pay for each service.
