• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

Does all models of the 23s come with the new panoramic screens or just the higher models? My salesperson made a statement suggesting that the lower models wouldn’t have the panoramic screen.

I can’t imagine them adding wifi but not wireless CarPlay. What would the point be?
I totally agree. But they’ve been silent on that. Wouldn’t they highlight with the other updates? I hope and wish but fairly skeptical.

Only SX + will have the digital cluster. Someone posted a picture of the lower end a few pictures back. I don’t mind it, but others didn’t like it.

RE: wireless apple carplay on 2023

I caught this overview of the 23 Palisade where the absence of wireless carplay is addressed. Linked to the timecode 4:52:

According to this Youtuber, they asked about wireless carplay and reps said "they are working on it" but its unclear if thats for a future hardware revision or a software update.

I hope we can get some of these car bloggers to ask specifically about car play and whether it's capable of coming via software update to models with the 12.3 screen when Kia does a press event for the 23.

Thanks for the info. My gut says it’s a hardware revision that requires a chip that they can’t get in volume. With that said, fingers crossed it’s software!!!

There are cars on dealer lots (Mazda) that have features that require chips (auto close tailgate, etc.) REMOVED from their stickers because manufacturers still cannot get adequate chip supplies. My guess hardware rather than software.

Another dealer i had previously spoken to about ordering a 2023 called me .. they really are just waiting for the builder/pricing it seems.

I feel bad for the dealers essentially getting bothered all the time about the telluride and having no updates.

I know I’ll feel a relief once 2023 opens up.. then just go back to anxiously waiting for it to actually get picked up. 🤣

Solution for wireless CarPlay:

(Google "CPLAY2air wireless adapter for factory CarPlay")

This worked well on my 2018 Ford F-150 w/ Sync, but did not work at all on the wife's 2019 Acura RDX with the touchpad controls (no touchscreen). Haven't tested on any Kia since the Niro I got in trade for the F-150 has wireless CarPlay.

I was thinking about calling the dealer today to ask where I’m at in line… so close I can taste it!

this late to the game and still not wireless caprplay and AA, what a frigin shit show Kia has been with this launch
Actually right now I'd prefer the non-wireless carplay, but only because I use an Android Box that uses wired carplay to load Android onto the infotainment screen. I think it should work fine with wireless carplay as most cars that have it, also have the ability to do wired but I'm not 100% sure Kia will go that route down the line. I'd have to check their other models to see if that might be the case.

I'm sure there will be premium packages for lower models to get the 12.3" cluster. '23 Palisade offers at second trim level, SEL, with premium package. I think the SX, it is standard for the trim level. Time will tell.

That would make sense.. nothing has been released on the premium package for EX. It seems likely they’d have a captain chair package available for EX outside of Xline. It would be great if that contained the digital cluster

Regarding the wireless carplay, what purpose does wifi serve if not for wireless carplay? They aren't saying that you can subscribe to cell service and use the car as a hotspot, right?

I am genuinely confused what purpose, other than wireless carplay, wifi would serve.
I believe it’s a wireless hotspot which makes no sense to me other than Kia believing that people will subscribe and it’s another income stream.

It makes sense for some situations like families where you want to give your kids/passengers a hotspot for tablets, gaming devices (Switch?) or phones that don’t have data plans.

Dang really not liking the new rims either. Sigh. Just saw Palisade and might have to make then move on them. Much better rims and it’s like they flipped.
