• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

It makes sense for some situations like families where you want to give your kids/passengers a hotspot for tablets, gaming devices (Switch?) or phones that don’t have data plans.
Agree but it’s likely less expensive to have a parent with an unlimited plan to have their phone act as a hotspot.

As we slowly get closer to an eventual release date, we can confirm the Nav unit will continue to be Gen5. They've started to post a few documents to the owners portal: owners.kia.com/content/owners/en/manuals.html
Thanks for the link of the owners manual.

Did y’all see the voice command options. I hope this is for the 23 and not just a generic list of possible voice commands. Some of these commands are available on the high end Carnival

Or upgrade your personal phone plan to include a hotspot. Been working fine for me that way for years.

They should be; they’re all active on the refreshed 2023 Palisade. None of these were available on the pre-refresh Tellurides or Palisade (only cars coming out since they debuted in 2019 have had these available).

I can’t understand why they wouldn’t add wireless CarPlay or Android Auto to this refreshed model. What a miss. Not going to stop me from getting the SX-P X-line but really???

No wireless Carplay?? Nooooo!! Wtf Kia?

I can’t imagine them adding wifi but not wireless CarPlay. What would the point be?

this late to the game and still no wireless caprplay and AA, what a frigin shit show Kia has been with this launch

From what I've heard from a few reviewers who asked the question, Wireless Carplay has not been included because a contractual dispute with the Navigation provider, NOT because the head units are incapable. Hyundai/Kia has offered wireless Carplay in the past, so there is no reason from a technical standpoint it isn't offered now. They know how to do it. This isn't a case of Kia dropping the ball or not listening to customers-- I think there is more at play here.

I suspect (and this is a complete guess) that Wireless Carplay/AA will be added eventually via downloaded update. Why it's taking so long, I have no idea (perhaps they're waiting on the contract to expire, working on the update patch, etc.).

i wish it were true, but these things rarely are. I feel if this was something that they would eventually launch later, they would have advertised the shit out of it already

Companies don't generally advertise things that are coming, especially at the feature level, and especially if the launch date is murky. The only thing worse than not having a feature is promising that feature in marketing and advertising, and then not delivering. Things change - technical limitations, contracts, resource priorities, supply chain issues, needed adjacent software updates that aren't ready yet, etc.

I saw that the information on the 2023 Sorento Hybrid/Phev is now added to build/price on the Kia website! I hope this is a sign that Telluride will be added soon. More speculation from Reddit is that it will be "Friday" per a plant worker in Georgia. I guess we'll see.

It says "X-Line & X-Pro" and indicates that Terracotta is Leather (not Nappa).

Seems like Nappa Leather will only be available on the X-Pro, not the X-Line, which doesn't make much sense. So you'd have to get SX-Prestige plus X-Pro to get Nappa. If you get an SX-Prestige, which comes with Nappa, but then want to add X-Line, you lose the Nappa? Kind of confusing.
I think it is a mistake. I am sure the x line prestige will get it.

This might all be speculation, but the X Line leather, with that stitching, looks softer than the current leather offered. Thoughts?

Is there a chance that dealerships could just randomly get allocated 2023 tellurides prior to ordering opening up?

I saw a dealer mention they have been allocated 2023 niros and ordering isn’t available. He said they had the stickers.

Can you send where you saw this? Was hoping that I could follow along there too :)

It is not random or by chance, it is always planned for dealers to get some showroom inventory available for buyers to see. MY23 are already being produced for media to see and drive. Happened in previous years. Pretty sure inventory buildup is in process.

I can’t share the link but it’s just in the /Kiatelluride page. Nothing updated really or news since then

MY23s that are being produced are likely through pre-production builds. It appears the serial production for MY23's on the assembly lines has not begun at this time, if Kia continues to produce '22 VINs. Unfortunately, there will be no inventory buildup for the MY23's. With the backlog that they have for Tellurides, they are going to build to order and allocate. You won't see "showroom" Tellurides at dealers. If they are at the dealership, they will be sitting on the lot with substantial dealer markups.

Automotive is crazy right now, but we're starting to see a bit of tarnish on the demand armor right now. Days on hand of trucks and SUV's are growing incredibly fast. Demand down 10-15% in August on these vehicles. Days on Hand pushing back towards 60. However, our friends at Kia are not so lucky on their days on hand. They are actually the tightest brand for supply at 19 days. If you're interested, the article below is a great read.

I would expect that they would. If they're working on shifting over to '23 production before order banks have opened up then I would think they'd build some common or popular configs and send those out to dealers. I'm hoping since the ads show what I'd order (Blue SX-P X-Pro w/Mahogany interior) that they send some of those to my dealer and I may be able to get an early one.

That makes absolutely no sense. Then there would be no MY22s on the lots now because there are still so many people that are waiting for their 22 order.

I believe I recall the headliner being black in the 2023 videos. The Sportage build with any color has the light gray headliner. I sure hope I can get black leather with a black headliner in the Telluride.
