• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

Can anyone with an x-line and/or x-line pro update the GVWR from the door panel sticker?

Because the '23s don't need the update, right?
Well, the 2023s fortunately have April 2022 version, so they have the changes that version brought. But now they won’t have whatever might be added with this fall update (who knows if it will be important or not). Guess we’ll find out next week.

I was mainly mentioning this to prove the point that it wasn’t safe to assume the 2023 would automatically get the fall update. I was doubtful the 2023 would get it, since it’s so new. And it appears it won’t.

Since the 23 palisade is getting it and I’m pretty sure they are the same head unit the 23 telluride probably can get it. They just don’t have it listed on their site since the 23s are literally just rolling out.

I was told they would add the option to add a hitch to 23s at the end of this month/start of next. Not sure how accurate that is. I was told by another dealer there is a shortage of wire harnesses for the hitch.

Lately, it seems like these dealers are just guessing because they aren't being communicated to by Kia corporate. It has to be frustrating for the dealers.

Yeah sadly there's just not much communication going on with dealers right now. I heard the same thing from our District Distribution Manager, so i'm hopeful they will be able to be requested here in the next few weeks.

I was told by a KIA regional manager that the configurator would go live last weekend. He was incorrect :-/

Thanks!...sort of. LOL. I do appreciate getting specific Hendricks replies since that should be a pretty good indicator of my actual position in line. And it's not as good as I'd hoped. Hendricks definitely places a lot of Telluride orders. Probably due to relatively small markup (for me they added on about $1300 in useless add-ons).

Does anyone think some delay might be issues related to the conversion to the 2023 model line? I had read that KIA was planning to ramp up Telluride production by ?15%? Might things start moving faster as the 2023's start rolling off the line? Or am I just wishing...
For what it's worth.....just today the Hendrick dealership in Cary let me know that I am currently #65 in line.

When did you order? Heard they're like a year eta now.
Placed an order for a ‘22 on 12/31/21.

Transitioned my order over to a ‘23 on 10/3/22.

Nice. You get to dodge that crap charge they're applying to all vehicles ordered this spring or later.

Ha! I hope they keep their word on that!

From what I understand they have been. 👍 I'm surprised they're evening applying it. I was told in '21 when we got ours that "Mr Hendrick doesn't sell any of his vehicles over sticker!" Yeah money talks and bs walks I suppose.

Interesting. I have to be a ways behind you since you ordered about 2.5 months before me (ordered around March 12, 2022). Not sure what #65 in line means though. #65 for just them I assume? How many allotments do they get per month?

My salesman did say that they've been getting bigger allotments in their last two, but did not say how many. My theory (hope really), is that as the factories are fully transitioned to 2023 and have sent a few out to dealerships to show, there will be a point where they start arriving faster on orders than during the transition period. My salesman seemed to think this was possible, but of course will not commit to when to expect other than to plan on a full year from my March order.
