• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi all,

I've owned the 2023 SX-P X-Line for a bit over a year now and have been experiencing intermittent issues with the memory seat buttons since day 1 so wanted to get some input from others who may have or know of similar symptoms.

1. Intermittently, memory seat buttons do not work - when I press the buttons, seat doesn't move nor does the dashboard show any notifications.
2. Manual adjustments on the side of the seat always work regardless of the memory seat issue.
3. Easy-access does not work when the memory seat buttons are non-functional. Conversely, when the memory seat buttons are functional, easy-access always work.
4. No noticeable pattern of when the memory seat buttons are fuctional/non-functional (e.g. weather etc.) - the issue appears to happen randomly.
5. Read in another posting saying that someone had experienced a similar issue which was caused by excessive tension on wires underneath the seat when seat is fully pulled forward or pushed back. So I had a mechanic specifically inspect for any stretched wires but couldn't find any issues.

So far I've been to my closest Kia dealership 6 times and had them inspect/diagnose/fix the issue (still under basic warranty).
- 1st & 2nd visit - nothing performed saying they couldn't duplicate the issue.
- 3rd visit - they reconnected a loose connector, but turns out wasn't the issue.
- 4th visit - again, nothing performed saying they couldn't duplicate the issue.
- 5th visit - replaced memory seat buttons on the door and they confirmed that the buttons were working right after replacement. Same day I return to the dealership to pick up my car and test the buttons with the service guy next to me before leaving. Buttons are non-functional. Service guy says they'll open a "tech hotline" with Kia America.
- 6th visit - They say they've reconnected some wires based on what the "tech hotline" suggested and confirmed buttons were working. I bring the car home and after a few hours, buttons are non-functional again - notified the dealership.
- After 5th visit, I called Kia Customer Affairs to get them involved but so far they haven't been much help.

I'm waiting for the same dealership to call me back as they are willing to offer me a loaner car while they attempt to fix the issue by holding on to my car for a longer period of time. I waited almost a full year to get this car and love it but I'm at a point where I'm starting to regret getting the Telluride. Any input would be helpful everyone.
