• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Telluride Trailer Hitch Receiver availability

Thanks -It's wrapped in gloss black
Very cool. I was curious how the gloss wrap would hold up to scratches. Also, how long is it expected to last through winters, etc, without peeling? Any insight on this?

I'm not sure how long it will last, I've only had it for a few months now and had zero issues. I only hand wash the car because I think a car wash may be a problem

After searching the on-line Kia parts merchants for OEM trailer hitches, I see some are listing the second version of the trailer hitch, part S9F61-AU002, as discontinued. Others have it discounted to $350 to $375 plus shipping so wondering if this part number is in the process of being replaced and they are getting rid of them from inventory. The parts guy at our local Kia dealership said they still had 60 of them in the Dallas warehouse. He also said that all their wiring harnesses had been recalled, Kia was inspecting them to sort out the problematic ones before restocking, and that moisture contamination in the fuse box of the hitch wiring harness is what caused the recall. He was unsure if S9F61-AU002 was being discontinued.

It almost seems like you can buy S9F61-AU002 and install it on a 2023, modify the center panel like Joespara did, or leave it open until the new factory one is available.

Okay thank you. @Tucker Dawg, do you have cut dimensions for your bumper cover? I’m interested in doing the same—yours looks great.
This was done by dealership so I'm not sure of dimensions. They said they had a staff who I believe previously worked for a hitch installer so has a lot of experience making cuts.

I installed a factory 2022 hitch and aftermarket 4 pin harness with a 7 pin adapter. Not too difficult, I justView attachment 29955 need to work on the trim cover a little.
Did your S have the tow package or just tow mode. I have a ex xline and need to add a hitch and 7 pin connector as well. What aftermarket connector did you use? And was is plug and play. Or did you have to do the wiring.

I zoomed in on Tucker's picture, the cuts in the panel are not that precise so should be easy enough to replicate. The advantage of using the KIA hitch is you do not lose any ground clearance and less a knee knocker than the other hitches. I may just install the KIA hitch to haul bikes or luggage rack. The get the KIA wire harness and bumper cover when they come out later.

That’s a good idea. My primary use of the hitch will also not require the wiring harness. Is the hitch itself available for purchase? It would be nice to have the center panel with cutout also.

This looks really great! I am new here... got my SX-X line last week and only then discovered the whole hitch thing... speechless...

Just to confirm - is the part S9F61-AU002? I saw some earlier post that the OEM hitch doesn't totally fit, maybe it was referring to S9F61-AU000..

Will try to get this in and install..

I am not sure of the part number, I just asked for the OEM hitch for a 2022 telluride S and it fit perfectly.

I installed S9F61-AU000 recently on a ‘23 S. Fit just fine as others have said in this forum. The kit doesn’t have the bumper cover; you have to cut the one that comes off for install or leave it uninstalled until Kia releases the ‘23 cover.
