• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2024 Telluride collision sensor location. Periodic false warnings

Anyone know the exact location of the front collision sensor?
The radar is the rectangular plate located at the lower center of the bumper. It works along with the forward camera at the top of the windshield.

The Telluride’s forward collision system uses both the front radar sensor (located behind the front grille) and the forward-facing camera (mounted at the top of the windshield near the rearview mirror as mentioned above).

The radar sensor measures the distance and speed of objects ahead, while the forward-facing camera helps with lane recognition, object detection, and tracking. These two components work together to provide features like Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).

This dual-system approach improves accuracy and reliability for detecting and responding to obstacles or hazards on the road.

Thank you ronnie! My telluride, I’m told, isn’t equipped with forward camera, however, I have FCA, LKA and ACC. Shouldn’t that mean I can ‘activate’ some kind of 360° camera?

And the sensor is NOT on the bumper, on the radiator (or something)?

The radar is the yellow rectangle (lower bumper, as I said). The forward camera used for FCA, lane assist, etc is the one circled in green at the top of the windshield. It is exclusively used for identifying lanes, obstacles, etc and is not user accessible. The front camera for the 360º camera system is circled in red in the grille. It’s only on SX and up and only is used for camera views shown in the infotainment. Not applicable here, but the blue circles are the ultrasonic parking sensors (low speed, parking maneuvers) on SX and up only.

As far as I understand, if a Kia Telluride has Adaptive Cruise Control, it must have a forward camera. The system requires both the forward camera (at the top of the windshield) and the front radar sensor (behind the grille) to function properly.

Who told you your Telluride was not equipped with forward camera? I'm pretty that information is NOT correct.

Every single Telluride has adaptive cruise and a forward camera (top of windshield). Only the SX and up have a front camera for the 360º system. Lots of people conflate the two and/or lack understanding of how they operate.

The car salesman that sold my wife the car while I was in treatment told her. That mfer. The dude baited and switched her.

Thank you both for clearing this up for me. I really appreciate it.
