There can be a middle ground between getting screwed by a huge markup and getting screwed by a huge wait. It appears that the Telluride at issue here took an ungodly 11 months to be delivered. I picked one up in 11 days (MSRP + $1k protection package), because I adapted to what I could find, rather than ordering one.
