• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... '22 Dark Moss SX?

Love the Dune Brown Napa Leather seats.. however, that suede like black headliner seems tacky to me. Id prefer the black cloth headliner that comes with the butterscotch and the butterscotch is a bit lighter than the Dune Brown. Just my opinion, but I love your interior and thank you for the pics!

Fabric, looks very nice though
Thank you John. I ordered the exact same build and living vicariously through your pictures right now since I have another 2-3 months of waiting. LOL

Of course man, the waiting is terrible haha. I have zero regrets on the color combo but I’d put it in the same category as a black car… you have to work to keep it looking perfect.
I would have had a hard time picking between butterscotch and dune had there not been the significant price difference.

I have two kids.. a 3rd is on the way. What are those mats you placed under the car seats? That's clever! Hopefully that helps with all the spilled food/drinks and indentation of synching down the seats into the leather. Please let me know! Thanks and congrats! :D

This is what I got: Amazon.com: Car Seat Protector, 2 Pack Large Auto Car Seat Protectors for Child Car Seat, Thick Carseat Seat Protector with Organizer Pockets, Vehicle Dog Cover Pad for SUV Sedan Truck Leather Seats: Automotive

So far they seem fine, but I have two main concerns:

1) any substantial liquid spill or accident will run over the lip at the base of the cover and right onto the seat, as these covers have the gaps for the car seat latches and no real edge. small spills should be ok.

2) the cover is not really firm, but more of a thick canvas, so the protection from indentation may be limited.

I may end up getting a thicker foam cover with molding that prevents liquid runoff...something more like this:

Sweet.....Congrats!

I actually prefer the fabric! I think the suede looks like a pimp's coat... Or so I've heard.

I picked it up from Dallas and drove it back to Austin a little while ago. I’ll get you some pics! Headliner is black
I wonder whether yours is the Dark Moss with paper tags I spotted on 360. There was also one rolling down my neighborhood street last week. Enjoy the new ride! :)

Just curious...is the dark moss really a dark green? It looks like a pretty dark but sparkly brown in most pics.

@onemoreday55:

No.

Dark Moss is not Dark Green.

Instead, it's an awesome mix of paint flakes with a bit of dark green in the mix.

So far, I can identify four colors on a close-up inspection:

Metallic Bronze
Dark Brown
Dark Green
Black

there's probably more that I'm missing but this is primarily what I see.

The color shows differently in different lights/angles/directions.

Like most cars with metallic flakes, direct sunlight makes the bronze sparkle in the sun.

The flatter dark greens and dark browns and blacks will give Dark Moss a different look in the fog/shade/overcast/snow/rain.

Great color in any case.

I take far too many photos of my Dark Moss Telly.

Check my previous post to see the colors under different lights/angles/time of day.

Also, in my opinion, Dark Moss looks far better without the unfortunate Nightfall Edition.

Break up the dark body panels with some brushed aluminum colored accents. DM+NFE looks like a monochromatic dark blob that doesn't accentuate the lines and design of the amazing car 😍

It’s green in full sunlight, otherwise I’d say it’s brown
I’m probably one of the few people who likes green cars and also brown cars. DM has me feeling ambivalent. It’s neither kinda here nor there (neither green nor brown). It’s almost like there was a corporate meeting where they mandated the designers to cut down one of the color choices and they decided to blend them instead.
