• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I’m at 3k miles... have a 2k road trip coming up. I’ve seen different thoughts on when to get first oil change/ service... what’s the verdict from this in the know? Before I leave, or wait until I’m back?

I don't know what the official recommended mileage is - but I am old school. Any new car - I like getting an oil change after a couple thousand miles to get any of the small microscopic metal pieces out from manufacturing. I always change early then settle into the recommended interval. If I were in your shoes - I would change it now before the trip.

By the way - how have your first 3K miles been? What color and trim do you have? Care to post pictures?

I’d agree. I’d get the oil change done before you go.

Thanks! That’s what I thought... I’ll get the service done before.

I have a black on black SX. Have absolutely loved every single mile since getting it early March.

Figuring out my garage foam cannon And hand wash setup before the MA winters and salt set in :)

Very nice! I’ve used only a foam cannon on my Stinger but always outside, first time to see it in done in a garage and I live in Houston with 100F heat.

Super sunny day, no time to wait for the shade.

I’m planning on plumbing a hot/ cold tap in there so I’m all set for the below freezing temps. No car wash for me!
