A-Pillar Trim Removal

Hi All,

I would like to install a dash cam in my Telluride.
Since the fuse panel is on the driver's side, I'd like to run the power cable down the A Pillar.

However, since there are side curtain air bags, I need to remove the A Pillar trim panel so that I can ensure that the power cable runs behind it.
I've seen a few pictures of other people's installs and they all run it across the A Pillar, which I do not believe is correct because the Telluride uses a one piece side curtain airbag. So their cable is blocking the airbag.

From what I can see by peeling back the door gasket, it looks like the A Pillar panel is simply snapped in.
So I ASSUME if I pull on the A Pillar trim panel, it should pop off, but you know what they say when you "assume".

Has anyone removed or can confirm if the A Pillar trim panel simply pops off?

It is just snapped in, i ran my wires there. You can just tuck in much easier when you remove the rubber trim first
 
Check out my install here. Using an OBD power cable makes it so much easier and you don't have to mess with the fuse box at all
