have seen many reports of ac condensors struck by rocks and leaking not covered by wty should have some eort of screen on lower portion of grill where holes are large

Many?, I've seen two people out of 50K cars so far...also not a Kia problem, almost every manufacturer has had this happen, just bad luck and your car insurance should cover it. There are a few here that have modded their cars with screen themselves so you might want to go that route if it's something you are worried about.

im a mechanic by trade so i will be modifying it at 1500 a ondensor could get expensive i used to be able to do it myself but a lot harder to replace without a hoist and my age is working against me

i also took a close look at it it looks like a straight cut not crushed

Cheap DIY Mesh Grill
